Herein we continue, from part 1, considering Demons within texts generally termed the Apocrypha, Deutero Canonical, Pseudepigrapha, Gnostic Texts, etc. (see my article on the Apocrypha here). The fuller complete result consists of quotations of those sections within the text that refer to Angels, Cherubim, Seraphim, Devil, Satan, demons, serpent and dragon. 7 Moreover, how many sacred rites are observed, how many sacrifices offered at the beginning, in the course, and at the end of the procession, how many religious corporations, furthermore, how many priesthoods, how many bodies of magistrates are called upon to march in it–each is known to the inhabitants of that city where all the demons have gathered and taken up their abode.

8 Plainly, the sorceress undoubtedly transacted the business in behalf of those whose priestess she was, namely, the demons and evil spirits…The gathering of the demons would be dull without their Great Mother, so she presides there over the ditch.

9 But when this skill was pressed into the service of the games, it was changed from a gift God into an instrument of the demons…This Erichthonius, a son of Minerva and Vulcan, fruit of lust, in truth, that fell to Earth, is a demon-monster, or, rather, the Devil himself, not a mere snake.

10 The two demons of lust and drunkenness have banded together in sworn confederacy…We know that the names of dead men are nothing, even as their images are nothing. But we are not unaware of the identity of those who are at work behind those displayed names and images, who exult in the homage paid to them and pretend to be divine, namely, the evil spirits, the demons…the demons, from the very beginning looking out for themselves contrived, along with the other foul practices of idolatry…For no one else but the demons would have contrived what was going to redound to their advantage, nor would they have produced the arts at that time through the agency of anyone except those very men in whose names and images and fables they accomplished the fraud of consecration which would work out to their advantage.

12 It is, furthermore, in the images of the dead that the demons have their abode…For the purple robes, the fasces, the fillets, and crowns–finally, also, the announcements made in meeting and on posters, and the pottage dinners given on the eve of exhibitions–do not lack the pomp of the Devil and the invocation of demons…For the amphitheater is consecrated to names more numerous and more dreadful than the Capitol, temple of all demons as it is.

13 ‘Not that an idol is anything,’ as the Apostle says, ‘but because what they do, they do in honor of demons’ who take up their abode there at the consecration of idols, whether of the dead, or, as they think, of gods…Nor do we eat of what is sacrificed, or offered at funeral rites, because ‘we cannot share the Lord’s supper and the supper of demons.’

26 Why, then, should such people not also be susceptible to demoniac possession? For we have the case of that woman–the Lord is witness–who went to the theater and returned home having a demon.

29 To trample under foot the gods of the heathen, to drive out demons, to effect cures, to seek revelations, to live unto God –these are the pleasures, these are the spectacles of the Christians, holy, everlasting, and free of charge.

The 2016 AD movie Southbound (available here) was directed by Roxanne Benjamin, David Bruckner, Patrick Horvath and Radio Silence and stars Kristina Pesic as Sutter, Nathalie Love as Kim, Fabianne Therese as Sadie, Chad Villella as Mitch, Hannah Marks as Ava, et al.
It is a horror movie made up of various short stories that all tie together.

One all seeing eye, pyramid and pentagram symbolism in Southbound movie.

As has been elucidated in various articles found with the Serpent Seed category: the Bible does speak the seed of the serpent and the seed of the woman. Yet, it does not, in any way, relate seed of the serpent to Cain being the result of Eve having sex with Satan.

In fact, since the serpent seed of Satan theory is not biblical, promulgators, such as those listed below, have different ideas as to who the seedlines / bloodlines are.

Some say that it is the line of Cain vs. the line of Seth. Some say that it is the Calvinistically predestined saved vs. the Calvinistically predestined lost. Some say that it is the “true Jews” who are White Aryans vs. the false Jews.

Hereinafter is a list of some promulgators of the serpent seed of Satan theory.

Daniel Parker (1781-1844 AD): founder of the Two-Seed-in-the-Spirit Predestinarian Baptists. In “Views on the Two Seeds” (1826 AD) Parker claimed that people where “good seed” of God or “bad seed” of Satan since this was predestined (hence Predestinarian Baptists) missionary work was viewed as unbiblical.

Wesley A. Swift (1913-1970 AD): preacher and Ku Klux Klan recruiter who became the “best known advocate” of Christian Identity and founded the Church of Jesus Christ Christian.

Dr. Joy Jeffries Pugh: alumna of South Georgia College, Valdosta State College and Nova University where she received her doctorate in education. I wrote a review of her book, Book review: Dr. Joye Jeffries Pugh, “Eden: The Knowledge of Good and Evil 666”.
However, I did not tackle her serpent seed of Satan theory within the review. She, indeed, has some interesting things to say about transhumanism, etc. However, she completely botches it on the issues, of Cain also, within a different context all together, Melchizedek and she did a song and dance with smoke and mirror routing in order to force Prince William’s name and title to numerologically result in 666.

Dan Barker, Annie Laurie Gaylor and the Freedom From Religion Foundation gang have again collected donations during a time of worldwide recession not to help anyone in any tangible way but in order to demonstrate just how cleaver they are.
This new billboard reads, “Praise Darwin: Evolve Beyond Belief.”1

Annie Laurie Gaylor has declared this “the Year of Darwin.”

Indeed, views such as those promulgated by Dan Barker are most certainly beyond belief.He has stated:

“Darwin has bequeathed what is good”2

“abortion is a blessing”3

“a fetus that’s the size of a thumb that has, what, what would you put it in a little locket and hang it around your neck?”4

He referred to Jesus as “a moral monster”5

Stated that “There is no moral interpreter in the cosmos, nothing cares and nobody cares.”6

As to whether it matters “what happens to me or a piece of broccoli, it won’t the Sun is going to explode, we’re all gonna be gone. No one’s gonna care.”7

He also argues that rape is not absolute immoral.8

Perhaps Dan Barker’s views require further evolution.

As for the Britons and their bus boards, Prof. Richard Dawkins was asked if he was “surprised that so many individual donors responded to the campaign to mount bus advertisements?” and in a moment of clarity stated:

I’m surprised and delighted but also somewhat embarrassed…The final figure is something like 130,000. That’s why I said I was embarrassed, because that is too much money to spend on a bus campaign. That much money would have been better spent doing something else. . . .I was actually in favor of diverting the money to something else, which I thought the donors would approve. But other members of the group felt that [as] the money had been given for the bus campaign they were legally obliged to spend it on that campaign.

He was also asked, “Do you worry that you might be causing people a lot of angst, since for many people religion is an important part of their identity?”

It doesn’t worry me very much. I don’t have that much sympathy if people get their consolation from an illusion. I wouldn’t wish to shatter the illusions of somebody on their deathbed or something, but I think on balance, people should be more thick-skinned.

This is interesting not only in that atheism is a consoling delusion but that he appeals to atheism as providing a sense of “freedom” and liberty (I will be posting on this shortly).

In a typical atrocity discredits theism but good does not accredit it assertion Prof. Richard Dawkins states:

I don’t think there’s any general reason, any logical pathway, that goes from being religious to being good. . . .It’s quite interesting to reflect on the logical pathway that would lead you to be bad. I don’t know if you would accept this, but the 19 perpetrators of the 9/11 attacks genuinely thought they were being good. They believed they were doing the will of Allah. . . . There is a logical pathway from religion to doing atrocious things. I don’t think there’s a logical path that leads you from atheism to that kind of thing. Of course there are atheists who do terrible things. But I don’t think you can derive it [from atheism itself].”9 [ellipses and brackets in original]

Just as a particular theology is the first brush stroke that eventually forms a worldview painting atheism is the blank canvas upon which individual atheists paint their worldviews. Thus, both theism and atheist are starting points towards benevolence or malice. The advantage of certain theologies is that they can absolutely condemn certain actions as evil while Prof. Richard Dawkins is left to impotent first shaking condemnations through which he urges us, baselessly, to rebel against Darwinism.

He further states, “Religion should not be a way of answering moral questions either, and to the extent that it is, it should not be relied upon.” This is dogmatic atheistic activism at its most militant. By this he condemns the very Christian premise upon which the two countries, upon which he quite safely and comfortably makes a living expressing prejudice, are founded-the very societies upon which he relies for his belief that rape is immoral since this too is a purely arbitrary moral.

One bit of new that I am excited about is that he is due to publish, in September, a book “on the evidence of evolution” (I hope that he defines “evidence” and “evolution”) that will be entitled, “The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution.” I only hope that he will be able to slit his personality and write science whilst keeping his atheistic activism at bay. Seeing as he has comingled atheism with biology ever since he was taught Darwinism at the age of 16 this seems like a vain hope and we would all do well to, as usual when reading him on science, parse real science from worldview adherence.

(or the doctrine of the Original Sin) is neither an allegory, a myth, a legend,

nor a fable, but is based on literal historical facts…

Herein we continue considering Rev. Richard Gan’s article The Doctrine of the Serpent Seed and The Doctrine of the Original Sin… which derives from his 1998 AD book, “The Serpent Seed THE ORIGINAL SIN.” You can find the whole series here.

Regarding the curse upon Eve Gan writes:

“Unto the woman He said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.” — Genesis 3:16

The first part of this verse should also cause us to understand that the sexual organ was the guilty member of the body in the act of sin. It was that part of the woman which God had cursed. He also increased the number of her conceptions.

Furthermore, he notes ““And Adam called his wife’s name Eve;…” The name was given only after the curse…“because she was the mother of all living” (Gen.3:20b)…the seed comes from the male.”
Well, Gan needs to tie these two points together as Eve’s curse relates directly to the little we are told about her. She was to be mother of all living which is why her curse pertains to childbearing. In the selfsame way, Adam’s curse relates directly to what which we are told about him: in a manner of speaking, he had the hobby of gardening but was cursed with having to work the land in the manner of hard labor.

The phrase: “thy desire shall be to thy husband”, certainly alludes to the fact that Eve must have earlier subjected her desire to someone else. It could not be plainer that Eve had first subjected her desire to the Serpent when she “saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat,…” (Gen.3:6).

Well, the phrase does not allude to the fact that she had desired someone else but rather, something else just as the verse he quoted states: she desired the fruit.

Gan references 2 Corinthians 11:2-3 which states, as he emphasized it, “For I am jealous over you with godly jealously: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled.” He then writes, “(Greek: exapatao [not apatao]; that is, thoroughly seduced) Eve [was] thoroughly deceived and seduced by the Serpent!.”
I already dealt with this unfounded claim in Zen Garcia on symbolic Serpent Seed of Satan language in Genesis 3 which you can consult for details. In short, in order to claim that which Richard Gan, Zen Garcia, et al., claim of 2 Corinthians 11:2-3 one can only do that which they do which is to merely assert it. When every instance of that term is considered there is simply no way that it can possibly mean that which they claim it means.

Specifically considering Cain’s conception, Gan writes:

One verse which confounds many Christians is Genesis 4:1. “And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord.” It appears to them that Cain was the son of Adam. But a deeper study…Adam “knew” Eve twice only (verses 1 and 25) but brought forth three sons…the very characters of Cain and Abel were extremely different. Therefore, one of them could not be a son of Adam…The murderous or lying nature does not come from God; it comes from Satan (Jhn.10:10; 11:25; Num.23:19)…These traits alone are enough proofs that Cain was not a son of Adam who was a son of God.

I bet you did not find it confounding until he informed you that you did so—actually not even thereafter. And, by the way, the reason why it appears to state that Cain was the son of Adam is because it states that Cain was the son of Adam. Can you discern the Gnosticism as “a deeper study” such as his, reveals that, get this, Adam knew Eve twice only but brought forth three sons at which point we need to pause. We are not told how many times Adam knew Eve since, in fact, they had many sons and daughters. But that to which he is referring means what exactly? Well, if he knew her twice and had three sons this means that, you guessed it, Can, Abel and Seth were all sons of Adam (once could argue that Cain and Abel were twins). Gan just discredited his own claims without realizing it.

Now, I have four children with my wife and their characters are extremely different which states utterly nothing about whether I really am their dad and my wife is their mom.

Having already dealt with this issue with serpent seed of Satan theorists I recognize his point: he is asserting that Cain could not be a son of Adam because his actions were not godly. However, of course, Adam and Eve sinned and they were direct creations of God. Thus, this is another unfounded claim of the theorists.

Referring to the offerings made by Abel (which was accepted) and Cain (which was rejected), Gan claims:

Abel possessed the revelation (from God) of the events which transpired in the Garden of Eden…Cain, being the son of the Serpent, did not possess such a revelation. Though he was raised up together with Abel and taught the same Truth and Knowledge of God by Adam and Eve, he never really possessed the full revelation of it….Like his daddy, Cain was a tiller of the ground.

Indeed, he did it again: Gan just discredited his very own supposed revelation from alleged God. He, himself, writes that “Like his daddy, Cain was a tiller of the ground.” Well, pray tell, was Satan a tiller of the ground? No. Was the serpent a tiller of the ground? No. Was Adam a tiller of the ground? Yes indeed, “there was not a man to till the ground” until “the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it” (Genesis 2:5, 15). Thus, “Like his daddy” Adam “Cain was a tiller of the ground.”

Since “Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD” which was rejected, Richard Gan writes, “The present day’s pagan religions, or worships, which practise the offering of the fruits of the ground, such as fruits, flowers or vegetables, are traced to Cain as the founder.” Yet, the present day’s pagan religions also practice the offering of animals so they can be traced to Abel as the founder. Some even offer human sacrifices. The point is that Gan makes a conveniently partially accurate claim so as to puff up his weighed and found wanting points but it fails.

Richard Gan next references the Nephilim:

“There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.” — Genesis 6:4

…the sons of God (Sethic men) were tempted by the seductive beauty of the daughters of men (Cainic women)…

I have dealt with the Genesis 6 affair in great detail in my Nephilim – Giants section. Perhaps I will pose a gotcha question of my own: why only Sethic men attracted to Cainic women? Why no Canic men attracted to Sethic women? Also, Gan claimed that intermingling with the descendants of Cain resulted in mankind becoming part and parcel of the animal kingdom. However, now such intermingling results in Nephilim aka “giants” aka mighty men (Gibbor).

Richard Gan provides us some good news, “All pure Serpent-people (pure Cainites) were destroyed in the Flood” but, oops, only the “pure” were destroyed but some of the watered down Serpent-people remain as “Shortly after the Flood the serpentine nature began to manifest itself.” What a shame: God perpetrated the flood so as to do away with the Nephilim’s genetic corruptions—or, on Gan’s view Serpentine/Canic genetic corruption—and they just came right back.

Gan specifies, “every person born into the world since then is traced back to these three sons for the inheritance of the Serpent nature…Everyone possesses part of the Adamic nature which is godly and part of the serpentine nature which is beastly and evil. Everyone is a hybrid.”

The Targumim, plural of Targum (Strong’s H8638 meaning interpret as in Ezra 4:7), are Aramaic paraphrases of the Old Testament that began to be produced beginning at the time of the Second Temple period (530 BC and 70 AD). Herein we continue, from part 1, part 2, proving quotations and citations on Angels from the Babylonian Talmud aka Talmud Bavli. The fuller complete result consists of quotations of those sections within the text that refer to Angels, Cherubim, Seraphim, Devil, Satan, demons, serpent and dragon.

As has been elucidated in various articles found with the Serpent Seed category: the Bible does speak the seed of the serpent and the seed of the woman. Yet, it does not, in any way, relate seed of the serpent to Cain being the result of Eve having sex with Satan.

In fact, since the serpent seed of Satan theory is not biblical, promulgators, such as those listed below, have different ideas as to who the seedlines / bloodlines are.

If you want to find out where oh where the serepent seed of Satan theory (or, “Two Seedline”) is taught In Dead Sea Scrolls then do not bother reading “Two Seedline Taught In Dead Sea Scrolls” part 1 or part 2 by Clifton A. Emahiser.
It is not recommended because it fails to deliver on its premised to elucidate where the two seedline is taught in dead sea scrolls and is, rather, merely a forum for Emahiser to express his personal prejudices. In fact, at one point, he perceives this and actually wrote, “You are probably wondering what all this has to do with Two Seedline being taught in the Dead Sea Scrolls.”

I already wrote an article titled Clifton A. Emahiser’s serpent seed of Satan theory but, of course, no Dead Sea Scroll material was provided by Emahiser.

In essence, he has a section within the two part article, titled, “DEAD SEA SCROLLS WITNESS TO TWO SEEDLINE” in which he notes that “they refer to themselves as ‘children of light’ and allude to the enemy as ‘the children of darkness.’”
Apparently, any dichotomy is enough to claim two seedlines (or, bloodlines). Indeed, the Bible’s Genesis 3 refers to the woman’s seed being at enmity with the serpent’s seed. Yet, just who the seed are is elucidate by the Bible and via personal interpretation by various serpent seed of Satan theorists.

Within the Bible the seed of the woman are who are following YHVH and the seed of the serpent are those who are following Satan. Emahiser sees folly in “Attempting to spiritualize and take a figurative view of the ‘tares’ in Matthew 13.” It is due to Matthew 13 and for that matter Matthew 23 and John 8 that I affirm that who are the seeds within the Bible (see here for articles on these specific texts).

Yet, serpent seed of Satan theorists place into the camp of the serpent’s seed anyone they do not like. Thus, the enmity between the lines may be between the Calvinistically predestined saved vs. the predestined condemned or between the lines of Cain and Seth or between the those possessing literal Satanic genetics which they inherited from Cain, the literal son of Satan (the result of, or so they claim, Eve having sex with Satan) or, in the case of Clifton A. Emahiser the Jews vs. the true Jews who are Aryan Whites, as he puts it, “Satan deceived Eve into giving up her chastity and conceiving Cain.”

He states that the claim that “the ‘Jews’ are God’s chosen people” is what the Jews “falsely claim.” And he explains that “when the term ‘Jew’ is used, it means the ‘Jewish’ proselytes who were not purely Judah by birth” and notes that in 1917 AD:

…when Palestine became a British Mandate under King George VI, a bona fide descendant of David. 1917 was the year that General Allenby captured Palestine and entered Jerusalem with true Israelite soldiers from Britain, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and a few minor contingents of non-Israelites such as India, Egypt, Singapore, Hong Kong and the West Indies. [emphasis added for emphasis]

Conversely, he refers to “the Satanic ‘Jews’” and also promulgates:

The watchman’s job is to identify the enemy, and that is what Two Seedline is all about! This is where it gets quite serious, for the antichrist anti-seedliners are maliciously interfering with Yahweh’s watchmen on their appointed rounds.

And more disturbingly:

Our people must start to understand that we are in a RACE WAR…That RACE WAR started in Genesis 3:15 and 4:1…The antichrist, anti-seedliners falsely claim that RACE WAR is a “flesh war”…This RACE WAR is a genocidal war designed to completely destroy an entire race of people, that being the White Anglo-Saxon Race.

Well, I am not antichrist but am an anti-seedliners and yet, I deny that we are in a flesh war because Ephesians 6:12 states that “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Thus, this is neither a race nor a flesh war.

Clifton A. Emahiser states:

I will use the book Understanding The Dead Sea Scrolls, edited by Hershel Shanks. Even though it was edited by a “Jew”, I still recommend this book…Shanks is only the managing editor of several other authors…You, no doubt, already notice several “Jewish” names.

However, he does not focus on the scrolls but upon disputed amongst scholars regarding anti-Semitism vs. being an “anti-Judaist” or being “against Zionism,” etc.

The only Dead Sea Scroll related point is quotations from Frank Moore Cross Jr. in The Ancient Library of Qumran (1961 AD ed.):

Page 77: “Apocalypticism sees world history in the grip of warring forces, God and Satan, the spirits of truth and error, light and darkness. The struggle of God with man, and of man with sin, evil, and death becomes objectified into a cosmic struggle.”

Clearly, God vs. Satan, spirits of truth vs. error, light vs. darkness, God vs. man, man vs. sin, evil and death cannot be the result of a seedline that resulted from Cain’s Satanic genetics.

Cross is also quoted to the effect that (Pages 92-93) “In the section of the Rule of the Community dealing with the doctrine of the Two Spirits (to which the sons of light and darkness are allotted from creation), we find a rigorous predestinarian formulation which teeters on the edge of determinism.” Indeed, this is what can later be called the Calvinistic view.

Again, Cross is quoted (Pages 209-211) surely, to Emahiser’s delight, “The Essene Rule also requires that one ‘hate’ all the ‘children of darkness’, even as he must ‘love all the children of light’” thus, justification for his particular prejudices.

Another quote is much like the one we already considered and references “two warring spirits, created by God from the beginning: the Spirit of Truth and the Spirit of Wickedness or Perversity.” With the Spirit of Wickedness being “Belial,” the Spirit of Truth being “the holy spirit (not identical with the Holy Spirit, though often hard to distinguish)” aka the Prince of Light aka the Angel of Truth.
Something very important to consider is that simply because someone references two seedlines (by any other name) does not mean that they hold to the serpent seed of Satan theory. As aforementioned; there is a Biblical concept of two seed and various unbiblical concepts.

The last quote from Frank Moore Cross Jr. (p. 211) references “two spirits…the spirits of Truth and Deceit (or Wickedness)…(the Spirit of) Truth and…(the Spirit of) Error…the Prince of Light…the Angel of Darkness…the Angel of Darkness.”

Thus, Clifton A. Emahiser never got around to showing where Two Seedline are Taught In Dead Sea Scrolls but only shows where two somewhat vague dichotomies are taught and nowhere where the serpent seed of Satan theory is taught.
