Seven gods of chaos

Seven gods of chaos is somewhat of a common parlance term for what in the case of the Book of Enoch are fallen angels, in H.P. Lovecraft they are fictional gods, in the case of Hell Boy they are much the same, in Gnosticism are seven androgynous forces of the seven heavens of chaos, in Babylon there are seven gods of fate, etc.

Let us consider each in turn.

BOOK OF ENOCH – FALLEN ANGELS
The apocryphal Book of Enoch’s book 1 at 18:12-14 states:

“Beyond that abyss I saw a place which had no firmament of the heaven above, and no firmly founded earth beneath it…I saw there seven stars like great burning mountains, and like the spirits that petitioned me [the fallen angels/watchers]. When I inquired regarding them, the angels said, ‘This place is the end of heaven and earth. This has become a prison for he stars and the host of heaven…’”

Also, at 21:2-6 it states:

“I saw there something horrible, a place with neither heaven nor earth, but an awful, terrible void. There, seven stars of the heaven were bound together in it, like great mountains and burning with fire…Then Uriel…said…‘These are the stars of heaven which have transgressed the commandment of the Lord, and are bound here…’”

In the article The Fallen Angel Pleiadian Connection, Richard Stout elucidates that the “‘Stars’ in this verse has two symbolic meanings, as ‘blazing mountains’ & ‘as spirits.’”

With that in mind, note that the Bible references the Pleiadian star system as follows:

“Who makes the Bear, Orion and the Pleiades, And the chambers of the south” (Job 9:9) “Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades, or loose the cords of Orion?” (Job 38:31)

“He who made the Pleiades and Orion and changes deep darkness into morning, who also darkens day into night, who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out on the surface of the earth, the Lord is His name.” (Amos 5:8)

Next, Richard Stout notes that in parts of the Bible, stars refers to angels such as in the first chapter of Revelation where it states, “In His right hand He held seven stars…the seven stars are the angels.”
Moreover, he notes that angels, who biblically do not have wings and look like human males, are referred to as “ministering spirits” (Hebrews 1:14).

He then drives home the point within the Enoch text:

“In I ENOCH 8, it mentions seven particular (angels) who left their first estate (Heaven) and came to Earth with the purpose of cohabitating with the daughters of men (GEN. 6:1-2.) These seven Fallen Angels are mentioned in this book in chapter 18. As these are the only seven angels who have taught men evil things and are listed in the Book of Enoch, then verse 14 (above) must also be referring to these specific angels (as stars.) Here is a list of their names: Azazyel; Amazarah; Armers; Barkayal; Akibeel; Ramiel; Asaradel. We believe that the seven stars of the Pleiades are the seven stars (Fallen Angels) so listed in Enoch. Let’s take a close look at the verses in chapter 18 of 1 ENOCH: VERSE 15: ‘Then the angel said, ‘This place until the consumption of heaven and earth will be the prison of the stars and the host of heaven.’’

This ‘place’ is the seven stars of the Pleiades. The word ‘prison’ in Greek (teresis) means ‘a watching – keeping’ similar to a ‘place of keeping.’ This means that the seven stars of the Pleiades will be a prison, a place of keeping of these seven fallen angels.”

Here is that which each of them taught as per 1 Enoch ch. 8:1-9

Azazyel taught men to make swords, knives, shields, breastplates, the fabrications of mirrors, and the workmanship of bracelets and ornaments, the use of paint, the beautifying of the eyebrows, the use of stones of every valuable and select kind and all sorts of dyes, so that the world became altered. Impiety increased; fornication multiplied; and they transgressed and corrupted all their ways. Amazarak taught all the sorcerers, and dividers of roots; Armers taught the solution of sorcery; Barkayal taught the observers of the stars. Akibeel taught the signs; Tamiel taught astronomy;

Asaradel taught the motion of the moon.

It may be of interest to note that in the Billy Meier alien contact case there was an alien named Semjase. Within the Book of Enoch there is another fallen angels named Semjase (which is variously spelled as it is transliterated from Ethiopic as Semyaza, Semihazah, Shemyazaz, Shemyaza, Shemhazai, etc.).
It many also be of interest that another Billy Meier contact, 1975-1986 AD, was an alien named Quetzal which is the name of a bird but also related to Quetzalcoatl the Central American Aztec god, the flying serpent.

H. P. LOVECRAFT – GREAT OLD ONES
From this writer of fiction, who some think was on the up and up occultically speaking, we get the concept of the Great Old Ones via that Cthulhu Mythos.

In The Call of Cthulhu (1926 AD) H.P. Lovecraft wrote:

“the Great Old Ones who lived ages before there were any men, and who came to the young world out of the sky. Those Old Ones were gone now, inside the earth and under the sea; but their dead bodies had told their secrets in dreams to the first men, who formed a cult which had never died…when the stars were ready, and the secret cult would always be waiting to liberate him…shapes came out of the dark to visit the faithful few. But these were not the Great Old Ones. No man had ever seen the Old Ones… These Great Old Ones…were not composed altogether of flesh and blood…not made of matter. When the stars were right, They could plunge from world to world through the sky…When, after infinities of chaos, the first men came, the Great Old Ones spoke to the sensitive among them by moulding their dreams…

the secret priests would take great Cthulhu from His tomb to revive His subjects and resume His rule of earth. The time would be easy to know, for then mankind would have become as the Great Old Ones; free and wild and beyond good and evil, with laws and morals thrown aside and all men shouting and killing and revelling in joy. Then the liberated Old Ones would teach them new ways to shout and kill and revel and enjoy themselves, and all the earth would flame with a holocaust of ecstasy and freedom.”

While it may be unknown how many Great Old Ones there are, they are relevant in our consideration of sevens due to that which follows.

MIKE MIGNOLA – HELL BOY’S SEVEN GODS OF CHAOS
In Mike Mignola’s Hell Boy stories the Seven Gods of Chaos as called the Ogdru Jahad and named Amon-Jahad, Adad-Jahad, Namrat-Jahad, Irra-Jahad, Nunn-Jahad, Beuu-Jahad and Nergal-Jahad. Mignols was highly influenced by H.P. Lovecraft.

They are:

“serpentine/crustacean entities which once resided on, and presided over, Earth. They are pitiless, chaotic, bent on destruction and subjugation and often so horrific in appearance that the mere sight of one of them sometimes induced madness.”

“In the beginning of time, God created an order of spirits. Of these, many of the greater spirits were sent to newborn Earth to oversee it as Watchers” and note that in the Book of Enoch the angels are referred to as Angels, Stars and Watchers (a Watcher is mentioned in Daniel 4:13). One of them seems to have taken fire from a dragon and mixed it with mud which is somewhat like the story of Prometheus, the Greek version of the lucifer figure, who stole fire from the gods and gave it (along with other tech) to humanity:

“The other spirits set their seals on the Dragon, and even infused it with fire once again, but still the being remained lifeless. However, when nighttime came, the Ogdru Jahad awoke and the darkness instilled it [them?] with purpose and function, instantly giving birth to the Ogdru Hem who become Earth’s first lifeforms.”

As it turns out the spirits considered the new creations abominations, warred with them and “The Ogdru Hem were eventually all disposed of, with many of them barely clinging to existence in some fashion, with the Ogdru Jahad sealed by their creator in a prison of crystal and placed in the heart of the abyss.”

The rest of the Watchers now distrusted “the one spirit, and so they struck him down and destroyed all his remnants, save for one: his right hand” and you know from the Hell Boy story that the demon (who the story makes into the good guy) was born with this hand, “The Right Hand of Doom.”
Having observed all of this the story’s god “looked down in fury on what had happened, and exacted his retribution on the Watchers for botching their task: some were cast down into the pit” which actually is what happens to the Watchers in the Bible and the Book of Enoch, “while others were stranded on the Earth to breed monsters.”

The lesser original spirits “took up residence on Earth as the first men, the Golden People, the pre-humans” and Thoth was “their greatest king.” Thoth being an Egyptian god who played a big part in Aleister Crowley’s life and works.

Well, Mike Mignola certainly pulled from various occult sources and included names such as Rasputin, he references the real life occult worldview of the Nazis and specified that the Ogdru Hem spawned by the Ogdru Jahad numbered 369; in occult numerological reduction 369 equals 3+6=9 and 9+9=18 and 1+8=9 and 9 equals 666 as 6+6=12 and 1+2=3 and 3+6=9 or 6+6+6=18 and 1+8=9.

The story revolves around the Ogdru Jahad, the Seven Gods of Chaos, who are imprisoned in chambers which can be opened via a key which is the Right Hand of Doom and so various people attempt to separate Hell Boy from his hand in order to either protect the world or bring about Armageddon.

GNOSTIC – SEVEN HEAVENLY FORCES OF CHAOS
If you take any and every Christian doctrine and turn it upside down, inside out and backwards; you get Gnosticism. It is purely satanic doctrine which turns YHVH into a bully and lucifer into the good guy who, like Prometheus, brought enlightenment (actually endarkenment) to humanity.
The Nag Hammadi Gnostic documents contain an untitled text which has generally come to be known as On the Origin of the World. Gnostic literature is much like its modern day version the New Age and just as difficult to discern so filled is it with symbolic language if not poppycock. So the story goes that a certain ruler “had a thought…and by means of verbal expression he created an androgyne.” In this way, he created three beings, “Seven appeared in chaos, androgynous…These are the seven forces of the seven heavens of chaos.”
As can be seen in the traditional depiction of the goat god Baphomet, androgyny is a very important concept in the occult which is why it is being promulgated within our pop-occulture today.

CONCLUSION
There are many more instances in legend, myth, history and sci-fi where seven such beings are referenced. For example, another is that the Babylonian creation myths include seven gods of fate who serve under Marduk.
For whatever reason, and if there really are seven incarcerated fallen angels (there are incarcerated fallen angles—see 2nd Peter chapter 2 and Jude 4-8—but we do not know how may beyond the statement in the Book of Enoch) then their minions (their demonic servants who, as per the Book of Enoch 15:8-12 are the fallen angel’s children) appear to be inspiring humans to seek them, serve them and worship them.

Ken Johnson, “Ancient Book of Enoch” – book review

Paperback: 204 pages Publisher: CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform (November 15, 2012 AD) ISBN-10: 1480102768 ISBN-13: 978-1480102767

Ancient Book of Enoch

Ken Johnson is an author and lecturer who speaks on a variety of issues related to Bible prophecy, ancient history, and the apostasy that will form in the church in the last days. He received a Doctorate in Theology from the Christian College of Texas, Texarkana TX, in 1989 AD. We previously reviewed his books here.

If you encounter information about UFOs, aliens, genetically manipulated hybrids, Ancient Aliens, fallen angels, the eschaton (the last days, end times, etc.) and their corresponding ubiquitous references to the “days of Noah” (see here); you are sure to have run across references to the Book of Enoch. Some Christians see the book as irrelevant since it is not canonical, some see it as nothing more than a commentary-like historical document much like Josephus’s works, some see it as divinely inspired and blame the corrupt church for removing it from the cannon and some see it as (at least partly) divinely inspired but not belonging within the cannon.

Considering the last two views, note that, indeed, some supposed Bible believing Christians are willing to, in a manner of speaking, sacrifice the Bible upon Enoch’s altar. For their love of the Book of Enoch they claim that the book was canonical, was in the Bible, is divinely inspired but claim that in order to keep its secrets from humanity the Council of Nicaea (as some specify) removed it. In other words, they fall for the Da Vinci Code falsehood about that council. In fact, the Council of Nicaea had nothing to do with canonization and just transferring the supposed removal of the book from the cannon to another date proves nothing.
The point is that for their love of the Book of Enoch they are willing to, as I have heard more than once, claim that the Bible was just haphazardly put together (they do not deny that the books within the cannon are inspired but that there are others, at least one more, that belong therein as well). But it is not even for their love of “Book of Enoch” but one specific version of the Book of Enoch which is known as the Ethiopic Book of Enoch (or, simply Ethiopic Enoch) or 1 Enoch. And not for their love of the Ethiopic Book of Enoch / 1 Enoch but a portion of it namely, the Book of the Watchers. And often, not for their love of a portion of a form of the book but for fragments of it which speaks about the events in Genesis 6 and a few other fragments of interest.

Ken Johnson seems to take the sober view that while what we know today as the Ethiopic Book of Enoch has its problems (such as Gnostic accretions), he thinks,

“the main reason Christians should study Enoch is to learn prophecy. In addition to the many prophecies about Messiah…there are some very important ones for our time…One completely fulfilled prophecy is given in chapter 10. Seventy generations after Enoch, sin would be atoned for. Luke 3:23-38 records that Jesus Christ was the seventieth generation from Enoch. It is because of Him we may obtain forgiveness and eternal life.”

As for canonical issue, he writes:

“The Book of Enoch teaches that the righteous are to live their lives by a series of books that will be given to them. Further, they will be judged by these books, not the Book of Enoch.”

He then quotes the text at 104:12-13,

“Books will be given to the righteous and the wise to become a cause of joy and uprightness and much wisdom. These books will be given to them, and they will believe and rejoice in them; and then all the righteous who have learned the paths of uprightness from them will be rewarded.”

He includes a footnote which states:

“The 66 books of the Bible would be created as a rule and guide for faith. Notice the Book of Enoch is not included in this set of books.”

He then quotes Enoch at 105:1-2,

“‘In those days,’ says the Lord ‘the children of earth will be summoned and a testimony given about the wisdom of them [the book of the Bible]; for they are the guides, and a reward for the whole earth. For I and My Son will be united with them forever in the paths of uprightness in their lives; you children of uprightness will have peace. Rejoice in their truth.” [brackets in original]

He comments thusly:

“Everyone will be judged by the Bible, not the Book of Enoch. This shows Enoch was never supposed to be added to the Canon.”

What Ken Johnson’s book Ancient Book of Enoch presents is some historical background, a translation of the entire Ethiopic Book of Enoch and concludes with points to ponder such as details about the Nephilim, “includes a previously unknown chapter from the Dead Sea Scrolls that actually explains how they did their genetic tampering” and actually offers, based on the premise that prophetic sections of Enoch are accurate, a chart whereby to ascertain the “window of time” of the Messiah Jesus’ return.

Some of the historical background is as follows:

“The Book of Enoch is quoted by church fathers and rabbis alike, all the way back to the first century. By the year AD 700 it was forgotten by the church as a whole.”

Moreover, some ancient church fathers inform us:

“that the Ethiopic version of Enoch (called 1 Enoch) was considered the real Book of Enoch and that it contained real prophecy. It was not, however, to be added to the canon of Scripture, but was considered recommend reading by Scripture much like the Ancient Book of Jasher. What we know today as 2 Enoch and 3 Enoch.”

As for the modern translation:

“We have a translation of the real Book of Enoch which has been edited from time to time. The style of writing suggests this translation of Enoch was done about 1000 BC and possibly again in 200 BC. If we find that it contains accurate prophecy, we must see it as a true gift from God…
A man named James Bruce heard that the only translation known to still exist of the lost Book of Enoch was preserved by the Ethiopian Christian Church. In AD 176, Bruce travelled to Ethiopia to find the Book of Enoch. Six years later, in 1773, he brought three manuscripts back to London where they lay in the British Museum untranslated. One hundred and twenty years later, in 1893, a man named R. H. Charles translated the manuscripts from the Ethiopic language into English.”

Ken Johnson also provides charts “to see Enoch’s doctrines and prophecies and how they line up with Scripture.” Including in which texts the Old and New Testaments agree with the Book of Enoch.

Something which generally is brought up about the Book of Enoch is that the New Testament quotes it at Jude 1:14-15 which reads:

“Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, ‘Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.’”

Thus, we harken back to Genesis 5:24 which tell us, “And Enoch walked with God; and he [was] not, for God took him.” Upon this concept Hebrews 11:5 states, “By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, ‘and was not found, because God had taken him’; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God.” This is where the Book of Enoch comes into play as it fill in gaps in our knowledge of Enoch, what he was doing and what he related to us. Of course, one must be weary of gap filling texts because some such texts were written for that specific purpose; someone purposefully would write a text in order to fill in gaps and attribute the text to an ancient patriarch.
Of course, that Jude quoted the “Book of Enoch” does not mean that the whole text of Enoch is thus biblically approved. In like manner, that Paul quotes a Greek poet does not mean that we should claim that the text from that poet is divinely inspired, belongs in the cannon, the Council of Nicaea removed it, etc., etc., etc.

Johnson writes:

“The Holy Spirit inspired Jude to quote Enoch for a reason. The Ancient Book of Enoch opens by addressing those in the Tribulation period. It contains numerous prophecies about the flood and fire judgments, and the two comings of the Messiah. It teaches that the Messiah is the Son of God and that He will shed His blood to redeem us and even predicts the generation that this would occur! The book of Enoch prophesies a window of time in which the Second Coming would occur and prophesies that there will be twenty-three Israeli Prime Ministers ruling in fifty-eight terms from AD 1948 to the beginning of the Tribulation period, and much more…

The Ancient Book of Enoch recounts the history of the angels that fell in the days of Jared, Enoch’s father. It testifies to their marriages with human women and their genetic experiments.”

Regardless of your view on the Book of Enoch, it is worth reading and especially elucidated by Ken Johnsons additional info including very helpful footnotes.

Dead Sea Scrolls Book of Giants, the Bible & the Book of Enoch

The Book of Giants is a very, very fragmented manuscript that is not represented by any complete manuscript thus, both the contents and order of events it relates are a matter of speculation. The bits and pieces of info it provides refers to events recorded in Genesis 6 and the apocryphal text of the Watchers sections of the Book of Enoch (aka 1 Enoch aka Ethiopic Enoch). I will follow the enumeration as per Michael Wise, Martin Abegg Jr., and Edward Cook, The Dead Sea Scrolls: A New Translation (Harper: San Francisco, 1996 AD, pp. 246-250) whereby the “Q” refers to Qumran preceded by the cave number, etc.

1Q23 Frag. 9, 14-15 This section states that “they knew the secrets of” with who they were and secrets of what missing in the text. However, this appears to coincide with Enoch 9:6 which notes that one of the fallen sons of God Watcher Angels named Azazel, “taught all unrighteousness on earth and revealed the eternal secrets which were (preserved) in heaven.” The fragment also notes that “[si]n was great in the earth” as per Genesis 6:5, “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” The fragment states that “[they begat] giants” which Genesis 6:4 has as “There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.” Also, Enoch 7:1-2 refers to as “And all the others together with them took unto themselves wives, and each chose for himself one, and they began to go in unto them and to defile themselves with them…And they became pregnant, and they bare great giants.”

Lastly, this section of fragments states that “they killed many” which may line up with Enoch 7 which states that the “great giants” which resulted from the Watchers mating with human women “consumed all the acquisitions of men. And when men could no longer sustain them, the giants turned against them and devoured mankind.”

4Q531 Frag. 3 This section may be a combination of references to the overall corruption brought about by the giants as well as the oncoming flood as it states, “[everything that the] earth produced…the great fish…the sky with all that grew…[fruit of] the earth and all kinds of grain and all the trees…beasts and reptiles…[al]l creeping things of the earth and they observed all…[eve]ry harsh deed and…utterance…male and female, and among humans.” Genesis 6:13 covers the destruction of all but Noah and his family thusly, “The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.” Enoch 7 states that once the great giants consumed all the acquisitions of men and then turned against them and devoured mankind “they began to sin against birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and fish, and to devour one another’s flesh, and drink the blood. Then the earth laid accusation against the lawless ones.” Within the context to “sin against” appears to refer to consuming for food.

But why would consuming birds, beasts, reptiles and fish be referred to as sin? It seems that this coincides with the greater context of Genesis which in chapters 1 and 2 had stated that God’s originally approved diet was a vegetarian one, “I have given every green herb for meat” (1:30), “every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food…of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat” (2:9, 16).

1Q23 Frag. 1, 6
This section contains references to two hundred donkeys, asses, rams, goats, “[beast of the] field from every animal, from every [bird]…for miscegenation” which refers to interbreeding. This may then touch upon the above reference to sinning against animals. The Bible knows nothing of this but by the time Enoch was written, the author seems to feel free to write about hybridization beyond Angel and human to Angel-human hybrid with animals. However, miscegenation merely refers to the interbreeding of beings, people or animals, which are thought to be of different “races,” “species” or otherwise, kinds. Thus, it the text may merely be a reference to interbreeding animals with each other.
The reference to two hundred is simply due to the fact that Enoch 6:6 specifies that this is the exact number of Angels who fell during the Genesis 6 affair which Enoch refers to as Watchers.

4Q531 Frag. 2
This segment takes a step back to the begetting and corruption which resulted therefrom, “they defiled…[they begot] giants and monsters…they begot, and, behold, all [the earth was corrupted]…with its blood and by the hand of…[giant’s] which did not suffice for them and…and they were seeking to devour many…the monsters attacked it.”

4Q532 Col. 2 Frags. 1-6 This section is somewhat baffling, stating “flesh…al[l] monsters…will be…they would arise…lacking in true knowledge…because…the earth [grew corrupt] mighty…they were considering…from the angels upon…in the end it will perish and die…they caused great corruption in the [earth] [this did not] suffice to…they will be…”

This may be dealing with the 1 Enoch 15:8-9 claim that demons are the spirits of dead giants, “they will call them evil spirts of the earth, for their dwelling will be on earth. The spirits that have gone forth from the body of their flesh are evil spirits…Evil spirits they will be on the earth, and evil spirit they will be called.”

2Q26
Reportedly, there was a time when the giants became troubled by dreams and visions the first of which was of a water submerged tablet which when pulled out of the water was illegible. Some scholars consider it a styled warning of the coming flood. The text states, “they drenched the tablet in the wa[ter]…the waters went up over the [tablet]…they lifted out the tablet from the water of…”

4Q530 Frag.7
The giants seem to have a brainstorming session about the dream and visions, “[this vision] is for cursing and sorrow. I am the one who confessed…the whole group of the castaways that I shall go to…[the spirits of the sl]ain complaining about their killers and crying out…that we shall die together and be made an end of…much and I will be sleeping, and bread…for my dwelling; the vision and also…entered into the gathering of the giants.”

6Q8
We now get some of the names of the giants as the discussions continue, “…Ohya and he said to Mahway…without trembling. Who showed you all this vision, [my] brother? …Barakel, my father, was with me…Before Mahway had finished telling what [he had seen]…[said] to him, Now I have heard wonders! If a barren woman gives birth…”

4Q530 Frag. 4
They seem to finally get the point; that the dreams and visions foretell their demise, “[There]upon Ohya said to Ha[hya]…[to be destroyed] from upon the earth and…[the ea]rth. When…they wept before [the giants].”

4Q530 Frag. 7 “…your strength…Thereupon Ohya [said] to Hahya…Then he answered, It is not for us, but for Azaiel, for he did [the children of] angels are the giants, and they would not let all their loved ones] be neglected [we have] not been cast down; you have strength…” Most readily accessible translations have a closing bracket at “loved ones]” and some have it as “l[oved ones].”

We appear to be getting into a section which lay the blame for the Watcher’s fall squarely on Azazel or, as here, Azaiel. The Book of Enoch also specifies that Azazel is specifically to be blamed in 9:6; 10:4, 8 and 13:1. Azazel’s main comrade Semjaza or Semjase, and below as Shemihaza, played a major role in the Billy Meier alleged alien UFO contacts—see Semjase in the Billy Meier case & the Book of Enoch – cosmic coincidences?

4Q531 Frag. 1
Giants realize that they are up against loyal Angels and do not stand a chance against them, “[I am a] giant, and by the mighty strength of my arm and my own great strength…[any]one mortal, and I have made war against them; but I am not…able to stand against them, for my opponents…reside in [Heav]en, and they dwell in the holy places. And not…[they] are stronger than I…of the wild beast has come, and the wild man they call [me] …Then Ohya said to him, I have been forced to have a dream…the sleep of my eyes [vanished], to let me see a vision. Now I know that on…Gilgamesh…” So this fragment ends with a reference to the namesake of the Epic of Gilgamesh who within that famous Mesopotamia tale wherein he is indeed, a giant.

6Q8 Frag. 2
More descriptions of visions, “…three of its roots” referring to a tree being pulled up “[while] I was [watching,] there came…[they moved the roots into] this garden, all of them, and not…” In this regard, Ezekiel 31’s tree related parable may be of interest.

4Q530 Col. 2
Discussions continue and a shift appears to occur which seeks include blaming potentates for the destruction to come as it “…concerns the death of our souls…and all his comrades, [and Oh]ya told them what Gilgamesh said to him…and it was said…‘concerning…the leader has cursed the potentates’ and the giants were glad at his words. Then he turned and left…”

This section continues with more descriptions of dreams which are related to monsters (who or whatever they are) and giants, “Thereupon two of them had dreams and the sleep of their eye, fled from them, and they arose and came to…[and told] their dreams, and said in the assembly of [their comrades] the monsters…[In] my dream I was watching this very night…[and there was a garden]…gardeners and they were watering…[two hundred trees and] large shoots came out of their root…all the water, and the fire burned all [the garden] They found the giants to tell them [the dream…].”

Finally, this section has Enoch being appealed to, “[to Enoch] the noted scribe, and he will interpret for us the dream. Thereupon his fellow Ohya declared and said to the giants, I too had a dream this night, O giants, and, behold, the Ruler of Heaven came down to earth…and such is the end of the dream. [Thereupon] all the giants [and monsters] grew afraid and called Mahway. He came to them and the giants pleaded with him and sent him to Enoch [the noted scribe]. They said to him, Go…to you that…you have heard his voice. And he said to him, He will…[and] interpret the dreams…”

Col. 3 of the above 4Q530 states, “how long the giants have to live” and proceeds to relate the results of Mahway’s discussion with Enoch, “[he mounted up in the air] like strong winds, and flew with his hands like ea[gles…he left behind] the inhabited world and passed over Desolation, the great desert…and Enoch saw him and hailed him, and Mahway said to him…hither and thither a second time to Mahway [The giants await your words, and all the monsters of the earth. If…has been carried…from the days of…their…and they will be added…we would know from you their meaning…two hundred tr]ees that from heaven [came down].” There is quite the bracket between “[The giants await” and “two hundred tr]ees” so that this version may have misplaced a closing bracket and an opening one somewhere in between.

In any regard, much like above, the Book of Enoch’s chapter 16 also related that the fallen seek Enoch to petition for them.

4Q530 Frag. 2 We now learn Enoch’s reply to the request for petitioning God in behalf of the fallen. Within the Book of Enoch we are told that the reply is, “as to the Watchers who have sent thee to intercede for them, who had been aforetime in heaven, say to them: ‘You have been in heaven, but all the mysteries had not yet been revealed to you, and you knew worthless ones, and these in the hardness of your hearts you have made known to the women, and through these mysteries women and men work much evil on earth.’ Say to them therefore: ‘You have no peace.’”

It is rather riotous that the fallen had revealed, don’t’cha know, the secrets of heaven itself and yet, God specifies that they one accessed and revealed the “worthless ones.” So all of the deepest hidden secrets held by the secret society mystery religions and occultists of the millennia are simply worthless.

Within the Book of Giants, “The scribe [Enoch…] a copy of the second tablet that [Epoch] se[nt…] in the very handwriting of Enoch the noted scribe […In the name of God the great] and holy one, to Shemihaza and all [his companions…] let it be known to you that not […] and the things you have done, and that your wives […] they and their sons and the wives of [their sons…] by your licentiousness on the earth, and there has been upon you […and the land is crying out] and complaining about you and the deeds of your children […] the harm that you have done to it. […] until Raphael arrives, behold, destruction [is coming, a great flood, and it will destroy all living things] and whatever is in the deserts and the seas. And the meaning of the matter […] upon you for evil. But now, loosen the bonds bi[nding you to evil…] and pray.”

4Q531 Frag. 7
This final section appears to have related a vision of Enoch, “[…great fear] seized me and I fell on my face; I heard his voice […] he dwelt among human beings but he did not learn from them…”
