The Abortion Money Machine Rolls Out the Ads in the UK

The Abortion Money Machine Rolls Out the Ads in the UK

“One of the UK’s largest abortion providers has announced that the country’s first ever abortion advert is to be screened on national television later this month.”1
This will be done by “leading abortion provider Marie Stopes International…which earned around £60 million from abortions and other sexual health and reproductive services in 2008, claim the campaign will help women to make a more informed choice about their pregnancies and sexual health” and which is “responsible for one in three abortions performed in England and Wales” in 2008 AD 215,975 abortions were performed in the UK.

Mike Judge (Head of Communications at The Christian Institute) stated:

Given that one in five British pregnancies ends in an abortion, it is hard to imagine that women are in the dark about abortion services…Will the ad mention the medical risks of abortion – like financial services have to mention financial risks when advertising? Will pro-life pregnancy counselling services be permitted to advertise? Will this lead to a tit-for-tat ad war on abortion?

Is the planned advertizing of abortion by the multimillion dollar (or pound) money machine timely?

Last month it was revealed that a baby boy who survived a botched abortion at 22 weeks was wrapped in a sheet and left to die by staff at the Rossano Calabro hospital in Italy. But the day after the abortion the baby boy, who still had his umbilical cord attached, was discovered moving and breathing by a Roman Catholic priest. He was taken to another hospital where he died the next day.

Here are some stats:

Abortion numbers in the UK are the highest in Europe with 219,336 terminations taking place in one year according to a new study. Britain also has the highest number of abortions for girls under 20 with 48,150 of the abortions falling into this age group.
These figures, released by the Institute for Family Policies, are the latest statistics available from the European Union for the year 2007. Britain now ranks fifth in the world for the number of abortions performed, behind only Russia, the US, India and Japan.

The number of abortions performed in the EU during 2007 was equivalent to the combined populations of the EU’s ten smallest states with Britain, France and Romania accounting for half of the terminations [41.9 girls per 1,000 aged 15 to 17 became pregnant in 2007]…

the Labour Government’s Teenage Pregnancy Strategy…focuses on sex education and the promotion of contraception. The strategy, which has so far cost over £300 million…

Phyllis Bowman, Campaign Director of Right to Life said: “The Government is not so much running a Teenage Pregnancy Strategy as a Teenage Abortion Strategy.
“Conceptions are not going down and abortion is going up, exactly the reverse of what was supposed to happen.”…

David Paton, Professor of Industrial Economics at Nottingham University Business School, has also referred to the strategy as “absolutely disastrous”…Prof Paton pointed to statistical evidence showing that since the strategy began diagnoses of sexually transmitted infections have increased, while the rate of decline in pregnancy rates has slowed.2

Sam Harris – The Dehumanizer

Whenever Prof. Richard Dawkins, Dan Barker or, apparently, any of the New-Atheist Sect speaks on the issue of abortion and related topics they are sure to demonstrate both poor logic as well as virtual misanthropy (read Prof. Richard Dawkins’ views here and his fallacious correlation between abortion and terrorism here. For Dan Barker see here).

Sam Harris wrote:

“A 3-day-old human embryo is a collection of 150 cells called a blastocyst. There are, for the sake of comparison, more than 100,000 cells in the brain of a fly. The embryos that are destroyed in stem-cell research do not have brains, or even neurons. Consequently, there is no reason to believe they can suffer their destruction in any way at all.”1

Just as Sam Harris compares human embryos to flies Prof. Richard Dawkins compares them to tadpoles, cow and sheep embryos. These correlations between one species and another particularly on the issue of butchery clearly demonstrates the savagery to which some are driven by their views on evolution.

We ought to note that in this particular instance Sam Harris restricts his comment to 3-day-old human embryos because he is commenting on stem cell research (which he quite erroneously claims is the most promising). It is however interesting to note that according to atheistic interpretation of Darwinian evolution, full grown human beings such as Sam Harris are no more than a larger collection of cells.

If a human adult can cease the life process of a human embryo because it consists of less cells than a person of Sam Harris’ age, could an elderly human being cease the life process of an adolescent because the adolescent consists of less cells?

What does suffering have to do with purposefully ceasing the growth process of a human being? Are we really to set lack of suffering as the criteria for bringing a human life to cessation? Can we cease human lives from proceeding if we anesthetize their bodies first? If we ensure that the person will feel no pain, are we free to cease their life at any time and for any reason?2

If a 3-day-old human embryo is a collection of 150 cells give it another day and it will have more. Another week and it will have more still. Another month and yet more. Nine months and all of a sudden: in sight and in mind you cannot legally murder a human baby any longer. A couple of decades and the baby has grown up enough to argue in favor of baby murder-an argument from dehumanization.

The way that they handle the topic of abortion and experimentation upon humans in the womb demonstrates the New-Atheist dismal view of human life, worth and dignity. Human, fly, tadpole, cow and sheep are all the same-nothing more than a particular combination of DNA.

The satanist’s repentance and the exorcist’s abortion

Tyler O’Neil reported ‘The Exorcist’ Author Calls Abortion ‘Demonic;’ Former Satanists Disagree (Christian Post, November 2, 2013 AD).

On the heels of Health and Human Services Secretary, Kathleen Sebelius’ 2012 AD commencement speech at Georgetown author William Peter Blatty (of, The Exorcist fame…or, infamy) and Georgetown alumni noted that abortion is demonic “While describing a graphic account of an abortion procedure”:

“He also said he reached his breaking point with what he perceives as the university’s distancing itself from its Catholic and Jesuit identity when it invited Sebelius to give the commencement speech, because as the former governor of Kansas and now as the secretary of HHS, Sebelius has been widely known as a staunch ally of the abortion lobby.”

Conversely:

“Joseph Craig, a former Satanist who has since accepted Jesus Christ, told The Christian Post on Friday that he can definitely understand Blatty’s comments from a moral perspective, but said he ‘thinks the word ‘demonic’ is a bit overzealous.’’”

Well, what else can one call the inhuman, inhumane and subhuman brutal, dismembering and painful murder of beautiful, innocent and defenseless human babies?

Moreover, Craig:

“led a Satanic cult for five years in Durham, N.C., but later embraced the forgiveness and love of Jesus Christ. Craig told CP [Christian Post] that in his past experience, he didn’t witness a connection between Satanism and abortion. ‘I have never seen a relationship between Satanism and abortion,’ said Craig, recalling that the majority of his efforts as a Satanist focused on preventing people from accepting the Christian faith.

‘As a Satanist I would, against Christ, use the books of the law and judgment, along with examples of bad Christians,’ to argue against the faith, he explained… In his experience, he contends that he never witnessed rituals involving abortion.”

For whatever reason he thinks that five years was enough for him to uncover satanism’s every activity. Also, a conspiracy of satanists is not required for abortion to be satanic as the murder of innocents is satanic. Moreover, speaking of murder of innocents the organization Forerunner / the Champion has chronicled direct ties between witchcraft and abortion and we have done likewise in the article Sacred Abortion.
Note how the satanic tactic and Atheist movement tactic is the very same and illogical: they would appeal to examples of bad Christians as an argument against the faith. That is tantamount to arguing against mathematics by appealing to those who make mistakes in their mathematics. In other words, how is it any point against Christianity to refer to instances wherein Christian principles were broken?

Note very carefully that, that he never witnessed rituals involving abortion means, only, that he never witnessed rituals involving abortion.

Not surprisingly:

“The former Satanist outlined two different branches of the cult: a ‘more atheist branch’ aimed at being your own god and regarding self, and a ‘more theistic approach’ worshipping Satan as a deity. He and his wife took the theistic approach, but knew many Satanists of the atheistic persuasion.”

Craig’s faulty logic continues on even while he now speaks out as a Christian:

“Craig suggested Christians ‘reach out and love’ women in tough situations, rather than condemn one of their options as ‘demonic.’”

And yet, one can reach out and love to women in tough situations even whilst considering abortion to be demonic.

But what about wherein he agrees with Blatty about what is demonic?:
“Speaking about Blatty’s work in The Exorcist, Craig commented, ‘The facts about the possession and things of that nature did have some merit and truth. As a part of our rites, we’d invite demons to dwell within us.’ He added that watching the film version of Blatty’s book, he and his fellow Satanists would often say, ‘you got that right.’”

In fact, the late Walter Martin was a very well-known and is still a very influential Christian apologist and got into apologetics when he read The Exorcist and sought to debunk it. He found that the book was based on a read life case, about a boy.

Lastly:

“Karl I. Payne, pastor of leadership development and discipleship training at Antioch Bible Church in Redmond, Wash….told CP on Friday that while he shares Blatty’s pro-life stance against abortion and also opposed Sebelius’ speech, he disagrees that it was ‘demonic.’…‘I believe the idea of murdering babies in or outside the womb must ultimately be laid at the doorstep of Satan, the god of this world, according to Ephesians 2:2,’ Payne added, noting that in this way, abortion might be considered demonic.”

So, Payne “disagrees that it was ‘demonic’” but agrees that “abortion might be considered demonic.” And that, folks, is what you get from academe!
