“The Order of Flesh and Blood” is up against androids that make crypto-robots; the most advanced human-like androids made from freshly dead human corpses-who do not even know that they are robots.
FYI: the film is from 1962 AD which is 6 years before Philip K. Dick’s “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” which was made into the movie “Blade Runner” that is about androids who do not know they are androids.
Moreover, “The Creation of the Humanoids” is based on the 1954 AD book “The Humanoids” by Jack Williamson.
There are many fascinating themes in this movie including marriage as mere “contracting,” cyber theology as the robots systematize a “pseudo religion,” human population levels decreasing and much, much more such as, well, yeah, like, the death and robotic resurrection diet and stuff…
