VIDEO and ARTICLE: Atheist Stephen Hawking claims to know that God does not exist

In a fascinating article, we learn what happens when a scientist wastes his God given talent turning his scientific pursuits into seeking to do away with God. Dominique Mosbergen wrote Stephen Hawking Says ‘There Is No God,’ Confirms He’s An Atheist (Huffington Post, September 25, 2014 AD) wherein she notes:

Stephen Hawking says he’s an atheist, arguing that science offers a “more convincing explanation” for the origins of the universe and that the miracles of religion “aren’t compatible” with scientific fact.

Instantly, we see that Stephen Hawking, the very scientist who claimed that philosophy (and now also apparently theology) is dead; relies on philosophy and fails at it. He claims that science offers a “more convincing” cosmogony but recall that his ultimate answer, thus far, is that if you have gravity; the universe can arise therefrom. Hawking elucidated, “Before we understood science, it was natural to believe that God created the universe, but now science offers a more convincing explanation.”

However, he is presupposing the uncaused, eternal nature of gravity and thus is merely taking steps backward into an infinite regress—and infinite digress. He claims that miracles of religion “aren’t compatible” with scientific fact but, apparently, that miracles of science (or, scientism; science so called) are compatible as a universe coming from eternal gravity uncaused is surely a miracle—even if natural and uncaused.

Now, Stephen Hawking has just come out, as it where, as an Atheist of the positive affirmation of God’s non-existence denomination / sect of Atheism. He stated:

What I meant by ‘we would know the mind of God’ is we would know everything that God would know if there was a God, but there isn’t. I’m an atheist.

Since he positively asserts knowledge to the effect that there isn’t a God; he now needs to provide proof and evidence that backs up his knowledge claim. Of course, in order for him to know that God does not exist, he would have to possess all knowledge. This is known as omniscience and is a traditional attribute of God. Thus, by claiming to know that God does not exist, Hawking is claiming omniscience and since omniscience is an attribute of God; Hawking has just proved that God exists even if that God is he himself.

Note that he specifies that he holds to positively affirming God’s nonexistence within the context of affirming, “I’m an atheist.” Well, he will surely get an earful from Atheists who not only claim that Atheism merely means a lack of belief in god(s) but think that the positive affirmation of God’s existence definition is a Christian ploy to make Atheists look silly.

And speaking of Atheists looking silly, Hawking stated that belief in a heaven or an afterlife is “a fairy story for people afraid of the dark.” Again, he proves nothing nor even offers evidence at all but merely asserts; a “smart” guy said it so, by golly, it must be true.
If belief in a heaven and an afterlife is “a fairy story for people afraid of the dark” then Atheism is a fairy story for people afraid of the light:

This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God (John 3:19-21).

Let us grant that it is “a fairy story for people afraid of the dark.” The fact is that the overwhelming majority of all of humanity for all time and in all places (regardless of geography, chronology or theology) have believed in heaven and an afterlife. Atheists would call this fairy story a Darwinian survival mechanism. If it is a survival mechanism; why are Atheists attempting to convert people? Do they not want them to survive? After all, Atheism is statistically irrelevant in human history. Well, Atheists claim to have found the one true way; Atheism!

Yet, that the majority of humanity has held to delusion at the very core of their worldview for all of human existence this proves that truth is not the key but only survival is. We can survive being utterly deluded or ascertaining empirical truth. Delusion has a much better track record and thus, Atheists should convert to theism so as to better their chances of surviving. And since Christianity is the majority religion; Atheists should logically, statistically and Darwinianly convert to Christianity.
