The other day I was in the grocery store and notice Transhumanism, via a robotic model, within an ad for Svedka vodka.
As it turns out, it must have been a left over since by now the robotic spokes-robot has been decommissioned.
As noted by Laura Stampler in “Svedka Is Giving Its Sexy Robot The Axe,” Business Insider, March 20, 2013 AD.
Svedka vodka’s spokes-robot is referred to as a “sexually confusing robot…famous for ridiculous tag lines like ‘make your next trophy wife 100% titanium,’” “Gay men still prefer Svedka over sex with women,” “The future of adult entertainment” and “I go both ways” which they place within the context of “Straight up or on the rocks” but which has bisexual connotations.
Indeed, this was a combo of hooch and Transhumanism with a sexual twist. In fact, Business Insider included the robot within its “10 sexiest brand icons ever.”
It is also noted that Svedka received a “reprimand for violating the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States’ restriction on ‘graphic or gratuitous nudity,’ degrading women, or ‘sexually lewd.’”
