Well, I took one for the team and watched one episode of Orphan Black and one was quite enough.
It was created by John Fawcett and Graeme Manson and stars Tatiana Maslany as Sarah Manning, Jordan Gavaris as Felix Dawkins, Dylan Bruce as Paul Dierden, Maria Doyle Kennedy as Siobhan Sadler, Evelyne Brochu as Delphine Cormier, et al.
It reminded me a lot of that about which I wrote in Sense 8 Netflix LGBTQ show: an interesting sci-fi premise which is merely a front for intensely perverse propaganda.
For example, Orphan Black deals with Transhumanism as it touches upon cloning, and transgenderism or postgendersism such as when self-mutilation in the form of a surgically bifurcated penis (having he penis split in two lengthwise) is said to be “perhaps a statement of masculine feminine duality.” Body modification is a main theme of the show and such mods denote the deconstruction of God’s creation.
There is a movement within the show called Neolution which is obviously Transhumanism.
Orphan Black is utterly saturated with homosexuality (strictly positively characterized, of course) as well as commitment free unmarried hetero-sex.
One character is called “MK” which seems to be a reference to the CIA’s MK-Ultra mind control experiments. It also contains symbolism such as one all seeing eye.
Thus, this is yet another show which seeks to literally deconstruct God’s creation by deconstructing reality, humanity, gender, sex and the true worldview-philosophy.
