“Skeptic Arena” Atheist calls me a “Ghost Worshipper” 1 of 9

That which follows was a painful for me as it will be for you. I would generally post articles longer than one or two pages in parts due to internet users’ lack of attention span. However, this was so painful that I wanted to be rid of it at once.

The backstory is that a certain Neo from the The (pseudo) Skeptic Arena (with whom I have had many interactions, see here). He has this odd habit of writing to me and Cc’ing various and sundry people who have nothing to do with it. In this case, he Cc’d 37 e-addresses including various Chaplains, the Catholic League, Billy Graham Ministries, Saddleback Church, homeschool.com, et al.

The poor guy clearly has some psychological, emotional and spiritual problems and needs lots of lover and prayer. And yes, all of the ellipses points are his originals and besides the expletives that I censored, the rest of it is sic.

Well, let us get to it as he wrote

I googled my web site to see what kind of links came up. Guess what I found? True Free Thinker (Ken Ammi) appeared, so I checked it out.
Apparently, God hasn’t been all that pleased with Ken’s work, so Ken is begging for donations. If you can help him out, I’m sure he’ll appreciate it. I would, but I prefer to give to charities and organizations that do good rather than to Ghost Worshippers who always have their hand out (palm up) asking for money.
Here’s Ken’s plea (but warning – have a tissue handy: this is a real tear-jerker)

“A plea: I have to pay for server usage and have made all content on this website free and always will. I support my family on one income and do research, writing, videos, etc. as a hobby. If you can even spare $1.00 as a donation, please do so: it may not seem like much but if each person reading this would do so, even every now and then, it would add up and really, really help.”

Ken isn’t just begging … He’s pleading. How can his God be this cruel? Why does God let Ken suffer in front of everyone, and force Ken to humiliate himself like a leper in a Jerusalem alley? Maybe God could drop a hatful of lotto tickets down on Ken’s trailer?
In the meantime, it is up to you, God’s children, to help this man who is begging for even just a measley little dollar. Surely someone on the cc list can help Ken out? Like Ken said, “it would add up” so even a quarter here and there will accumulate and allow him to do his laundry. Naw, don’t thank me. I feel the same way when I see starving puppies.

My reply—Ken Ammi

Shalom,
I pray I find you well. It is always interesting to hear (or, read) from you Neo.
I appreciate you letting people know of my needs.
If I only had a dime for every time you made an assertion, I ask you to justify your premises and you were unable to do so, I would not need to ask for donations.

Neo

Ken, look at all of God’s preachers who are rolling in dough.
Private Jets, mansions, luxury cars, babes comin out their ears.
Even the poorer ones get government-subsidized housing and usually live comfortable successful lives in nice neighborhoods.
The only reasonable conclusion that can be drawn from your leper-like begging for alms is that maybe your God doesn’t like you …
nearly as much as you think He does.
Because His generosity is certainly overflowing for all those other guys.

Ken Ammi

Friend, it appears that you do not think that there is anything wrong with that caricature of preachers.
You are, once again, judging based on your unfounded presuppositions.
The Bible draws no such correlation as that God’s love can be measured with money.

1st Timothy 6:3-5 “If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.”
