We previously published the article Satanic crime – murder by numbers, the Barbours and the number 1 (and 11).
We wrote and saved this story on January 29, 2014 AD and it was on the backburner for a couple of weeks.
At that time, as will be seen below, the focus was mostly on Elytte. However, as of mid February, the focus has shifted to Miranda due to her recent admissions which we have incorporated into the text of this article.
The statement within the title, “murder by numbers” referenced the various instances of the number 1 and two ones; 11.
This number was of the utmost importance within the magickal system of Aleister Crowley (about whom you can learn here).
The murder which broke this case, that of Troy LaFerrara, took place in November, which is an 11.
The time of the Craigslist posting by Miranda Barbour (which is how they met Troy) was at 11:11.
The murder was based on Elytte Barbour’s 22nd birthday and 22 is 11 plus 11.
Now, the number 22 has come up again in relation to admissions by Miranda Barbour the she murdered, at least, 22 people, “When I hit 22, I stopped counting,” she sated. She claimed to have joined a satanic cult at the age of 13. She also claims to have only murdered “bad people” as per satanic morality (just how does she define “bad” and as opposed to what?) and does not regret her actions.
Here are some of her statements:
“I feel it is time to get all of this out. I don’t care if people believe me. I just want to get it out”
“I can pinpoint on a map where you can find them.”
“I remember everything.”
“It is like watching a movie.”
“I know I will never see my husband again and I have accepted that. I know I wanted to talk about all this because I know I had a 20-year window where I would possibly get out of jail and I don’t want that to happen. If I were to be released, I would do this again.”
“He is proud of what he did. I will always love him.”
“By no means is this a way to glorify it or get attention.”
“I’m telling you because it is time for me to be honest and I feel I need to be honest.”
“He said the wrong things and then things got out of control.”
“I can tell you he was not supposed to be stabbed. My husband was just supposed to strangle him.”
