PZ Myers seems pretty lonely in the backwoods of Minnesota; where he is a biology professor at UMN.
Maybe he is generally self-loathing (perhaps depressed due to obesity).
Maybe is stays in his imitation ivory tower due to cowering from debate (see here and here), no wonder he positively affirms God’s non-existence without evidence (see here and here).
He actually sits in a warm and friendly Christian coffee house whilst fueling his hatred and writes his anti-Christian rage filled and emotive audience pleasing stuff.
He is quite the tragic figure; so much potential yet, so blind and purposefully so.
He is the sort of atheist who has turned a theory of biology into a worldview. He has actually allowed a concept about how things change over time to encroach into areas it was never meant to even imagine going and has actually tuned it into an entire worldview. He has stated that atheism and science are inseparable.
Thus, his various statements, particularly the one in focus below, offer some of the very, very best reasons for rejecting atheism.
His latest froth filled statement pertains to the Philadelphia abortion “doctor” charged with 8 counts of murder.
Here is, a mere sample, of PZ Myers’ erudite elucidation of the matter:
First, never quote Mother Teresa at me — she was an evil hag who worshipped poverty, who did not help people except to encourage them to suffer more for her faith, while she lived in comfort and traveled far and wide to receive the accolades of the gullible. I would never find the words of that wicked woman persuasive.
Secondly, the standard bullying tactics of waving bloody fetuses might cow the squeamish, but I’m a biologist. I’ve guillotined rats. I’ve held eyeballs in my hand and peeled them apart with a pair of scissors. I’ve used a wet-vac to clean up a lake of half-clotted blood from an exsanguinated dog. I’ve opened bodies and watched the intestines do their slow writhing dance, I’ve been elbow deep in blood, I’ve split open cats and stabbed them in the heart with a perfusion needle. I’ve extracted the brains of mice…with a pair of pliers. I’ve scooped brains out of buckets, I’ve counted dendrites in slices cut from the brains of dead babies.
You want to make me back down by trying to inspire revulsion with dead baby pictures? I look at them unflinchingly and see meat. And meat does not frighten me.

What a tragic figure, what a deprivation of all that is human and humane, what a sad, sick and depraved soul: what a by product of atheism.
Beautiful, healthy, innocent and defenseless human babies who were brutally murdered in unimaginably brutal and inhuman, inhumane, and subhuman manners are to be likened to rats, mice, dogs, and misc amputated body parts. In his reductionist eyes it is all merely temporarily animated meat.
How far does it go? Is one to state, “You want to make me back down by trying to inspire revulsion with pictures of dead Jews during the Holocaust? I look at them unflinchingly and see meat. And meat does not frighten me”?
Does the fact that “meat” is one ingredient that makes up our imago dei, the image of God, mean that we can carve up meat at will?
And what art thou PZ Myers? He would not be shy to proudly admit that he too is merely meat in motion.
Here is another pearl of atheist-Darwininst-evolutionary-reductionist wisdom from PZ Myers:
The universe is cold and uncaring…I am happy that the microbes didn’t turn me into a pile of putrefying goo yet…the little bastards are doing their best to get past my defenses all the time, and all that’s keeping them at bay is my constant expenditure of energy to keep my immune system at readiness. And they’ll also get me one day, for sure…
Obviously, PZ Myers is a person, amongst many, who has been devastated in mind, body and soul by the deleterious effects of atheism: he is in desperate need of true love and prayer.
Here is what other leading atheists have to say about abortion in general:
the real drive behind the antiabortionists: misogyny. I don’t believe that any one of them cares a hoot for a fetus…
abortion is a blessing…
a fetus that’s the size of a thumb that has, what, what would you put it in a little locket and hang it around your neck?
A 3-day-old human embryo is a collection of 150 cells called a blastocyst. There are, for the sake of comparison, more than 100,000 cells in the brain of a fly. The embryos that are destroyed in stem-cell research do not have brains, or even neurons. Consequently, there is no reason to believe they can suffer their destruction in any way at all.
Does the embryo suffer? (Presumably not if it is aborted before it has a nervous system; and even if it is old enough to have a nervous system it surely suffers less than, say, an adult cow in a slaughterhouse.)…
if late-aborted embryos with nervous systems suffer – though all suffering is deplorable – it is not because they are human that they suffer. There is no general reason to suppose that human embryos at any stage suffer more than cow or sheep embryos at the same developmental stage.
Incidentally, if you can commit brutal dismembering murder upon the innocent and defenseless just as long as they do not feel it them could you inject adults with anesthetics and then have at it: and make a living off of it whilst having the media, pop-culture and politicians sing your praises?
