This is a segment of what started as Pedophiles in high places. This is the university and college professors and staff edition based on research by Lori Handrahan (who you can find here and here. For the “past few years” she has chronicles “88 professors and staff” who have been busted for pedophilia, child porn, etc., etc., etc.—your liberal educational establishments at work, folks. Florida State University: teaching assistant, Michael Sullivan
Charge: 46 child pornography counts for trading in the rape of infants, had at least 1,000 videos/images.

Stephen Austin State University: professor and interim chair of the Economics Department, Michael Stroup
Charge: child pornography, was using university computers to trade in child rape and torture, had thousands of photos upon his arrest.

Penn State: graduate student, Adam Zydney
Charge: child sex abuse, “836 felony counts of child pornography possession. At the time of his arrest, Zydney had over 500 files of child sex abuse. He told investigators he had been trading in child sex abuse since he was a teenager.” He was also an instructor at the John Hopkins Center for Talented Youth summer program for K-12 grade children.

St. Mary’s College: swimming coach, Andre Rudolph Barbins
Charge: sexual solicitation of a minor and providing obscene material to a minor.

Florida State University: Deputy general counsel, Dayton Cramer – charge: soliciting a minor for sex, was caught by “undercover agents posing as a step-mother offering her 13 year old daughter for rape.” Elective coordinator, Jeffrey Davis – charge: 29 counts of child pornography possession.

Also, two students: Zhaozhao Shen and Jordan Steiner.

Indiana University: Assistant Director for Student Conduct in Office of Student Ethics, Jon Riveire
Charge: six felony child pornography counts, was trading in child rape, including of children aged three-five years old on university computers.

Wheaton College: employee, Benjamin Felker
Charge: four felony counts of possession of child pornography.

Auburn University: public safety lieutenant, Dennis Rae Ledbetter
Charge: three counts of child porn possession, had downloaded over 800 child rape images on his university computer and had 7 thumb drives in his office with over, 5,500 images and 111 videos of child sex abuse.

University of North Dakota: campus police officer, Paul Bradley Meagher
Charge: ten felony child porn counts, had more than 100,000 images/videos of children being raped and torture including the rape of a four year old child.

South Florida State College: IT employee, Trevor Theron Long
Charge: 92 counts of child porn possession, was trading in the rape and torture of children “children, ages 4 to 10, either performing sex acts or having sex acts performed on them,” had been using his college’s computer.

Springfield College: IT staff, David Linnehan
Charge: “11 counts of child porn possession, 13 counts of unauthorized access to a computer system, eight counts of distributing material showing a child in the nude, two counts of posing a child in the nude,” had “more than one million videos/images of child sex abuse…was caught when Amanda Lambert, a mother in California, was caught producing and distributing child sex abuse images/videos of her own children” 4 and 6 year old daughters.

Purdue University: IT staff, Daniel Shaw
Charge: two felony counts of possession of child pornography and a felony count of child exploitation, had been trading in videos/images of children in “nude or in states of undress in sexually suggestive poses, engaged in sexual activity or being subjected to sadomasochistic sexual abuse.”

University of Michigan: finance employee, Steven Germinder
Charge: child porn distribution, receipt and possession, including bestiality, via his university computers. At home, he had 20,000 images “which represented only a small portion of the image files’…An estimated 3,000 were of child sex abuse. A 12 page long spreadsheet listed the child sex abuse he was trading.

Ohio University: IT employee, Jeffrey Shira
Charge: ten counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor, had a “large amount of child pornography,” he “was caught when he mistakenly left two flash drives containing child sex abuse images/videos in a donation he gave to a local church.”

University of North Carolina: head of IT, Charles Hitlin
Charge: 47 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, “was caught interacting, from his university computer, on a child sex abuse trading site (chat.motherless.com) with an undercover agent; Detective Mike Deaton who alerted university authorities. Hitlin also used his university email hitlin@unc.edu to distribute child sex abuse images. Amy Hitlin, Charles’ wife, was a Senior Assistant Director of University Career Services for UNC’ School of Public Health. In the on-line chats with the undercover detective, apparently, Charles Hitlin pretended he was his wife and posed as ‘she’ and ‘alluded to sexual acts and intercourse with minors,’ said ‘liked to have sexual relations with 10 or more individuals at a time, including ‘neighbors and coworkers’ and said ‘her’ husband, who was an IT manager on campus, ‘watched the interactions.’ ‘She’ also said ‘sometimes the neighborhood kids would come over to have sex… a 15-year-old boy brought his 12-year-old brother.’” Also, “He had previously been arrested, 19 December 2012, and charged with two counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.”
