Back in the day, 1980s AD, I was into black and/or death metal music and the Satanic, occult, magick, etc. imagery was obvious, in your face, purposeful, out in the open, etc.
It has been very strange and surprising to find that within pop music and hip hop the Satanic, occult, magick, etc. imagery is just as obvious, in your face, purposeful, out in the open, etc. to those who recognize it even if it is displayed in a more subtle way to those who do not recognize it, at least a first sight.
This is because, for example, the Baphomet pose, as above so below (or, it is as below—hell—so above—on Earth or in heaven) is a distinct one and yet, one will not recognize it as such unless one has seen Baphomet and makes the connection.

In the case of the so called “Illuminati Pyramid” hand sign symbol most well known via the auspices of Jay-Z (Shawn Corey Carter), note that he has stated that it is merely a representation of his company Rocafella or Roc-A-Fella. Thus, the claim is that “Roc” refers to a “Rock” which refers to a diamond and thus, the supposed “Illuminati Pyramid” is just the display of a diamond.
Of course, most diamonds when seen from the side are shaped more list the S on Superman’s chest which is a pentagon with the bottom portion elongated. So, if anything, this would be simplified, via a hand sign symbol, to an upside down pyramid/triangle.
This also leads to the question of why Roc-A-Fella company is such an obvious reference to “Rockefeller.”
In any case, is this just “Jay-Z’s Roc” and/or an “Illuminati Pyramid” hand sign symbol?

Here we see a piece by the occult artist of “Alien” and “Species” movie fame, H.R. Giger. It is titled “Emblem for a Secret Society. Was Giger affirming being a Jay-Z fan? Well, the piece dates from 1967 AD which is two years before Jay-Z’s birth.
So, is Emblem for a Secret Society just a cool name or is it literally the emblem for a Secret Society?
Well, the hand sign symbol appears to be a modified version of that which is known as Rabbinic Judaism’s (not Biblical Judaism) hand sign symbol of benediction. In fact, the late Leonard Nimoy, who was a Reformed (very liberal) Jew, stated that he got the “Live long and prosper” hand sign he used as “Spock” from this benediction hand sign taking half of it.
The fact is that Rabbinic Judaism’s occult and/or mystical side is Kabbalah and Kabbalah is found at heart of all secret society, mystery religion, occult cult, witchcraft coven, etc.
The Jewish Tribune of New York for October 28, 1927 AD noted, “Masonry is based on Judaism. Eliminate the teachings of Judaism from the Masonic Ritual and what is left?”
But, based on “Judaism” in general? No, as Albert Pike noted in Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, p. 741 “Masonry is a search after light. That search leads us directly back, as you see, to the Kabalah.”

There is a compilation of papers written by Aleister Crowley that is titled “777 and Other Qabalistic Writings” (due to different emphasizes and language usages Kabbalah is aka Qabalah and Cabala).
The Jewish Encyclopedia notes that the,
…idea of the creative powers of numbers and letters, upon which the “Sefer Yeẓirah” [Book of Creation] is founded…seems to have originated in Chaldea” which refers to southern Babylonia aka Iraq. The Soncino publication Babylonian Talmud notes that the Book of Creation “has affinities with Babylonian, Egyptian, and Hellenic mysticism.
In the “Theosophical Glossary” Helena Petrovna Blavatsky noted that Kabbalistic concepts,
…derived from the older secret doctrines concerning divine things and cosmogony, which were combined into a theology after the time of the captivity of the Jews in Babylon…The kabalist is a student of “secret science”…This secret doctrine is identical with that of the Chaldeans, and includes at the same time much of the Persian wisdom, or ‘magic’…[none] agreed upon the origin of the Kabala, the Zohar, Sepher Yetzirah, etc. Some show it as coming from…Egypt, others again from Chaldea. The system is certainly very old…derived…through the Vedas, the Upanishads, Orpheus and Thales, Pythagoras and the Egyptians. Whatever its source, its sub-stratum is at any rate identical with that of all the other systems from the Book of the Dead down to the later Gnostics.
Thus, Kabbalah does not derive from biblical Judaism but from Babylonian Rabbinic Judaism.
Well, we come to find that the most likely source of “Jay-Z’s Roc Illuminati Pyramid hand sign symbol” is a modified version of Kabbalah’s hand sign of benediction as promulgated via a ritual pose of the A.’.A.’. / the Astrum Argentumand and other secret society, mystery religion, occult cult, witchcraft coven, etc.
Note the poses below that are “common in Thelemic ritual magick. The following sets of signs were assigned by Aleister Crowley to the various Grades of his order, the A.’.A.’.” some were “derived from the grade signs of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn” of which Crowley was also a member.
The supposed Illuminati Pyramid sign is known as “Fire. The Goddess Thoum-aesh-neith” and in other contexts, the “Sing of the Philosophus.”
Now, if Carol Burnett can send a secret sing to her grandmother before a live studio audience for a TV show that would be shown around the world, if Leonard Nimoy can make a benediction sign on a TV show that would be shown around the world and since David Bowie can perform A.’.A.’. ritual poses during concerts, why cannot Jay-Z, et al., be doing the very same thing?
