The TV show Crazyhead inaugurated in October 2016 AD and stars Cara Theobold, Susan Wokoma, Tony Curran, et al.
The premise is that two characters, Amy and Raquel, “attempt to navigate their way through the choppy waters of their early twenties whilst simultaneously kicking the a[**] of some seriously gnarly demons. What could possibly go wrong?”
Well, I watched just about a whole 10 minutes and that was enough to last me a lifetime.
Within mere minutes there was a passing reference to homosexuality, this was followed by one character urinating on another (as step one of an exorcism—go figure) and the extremely explicit references to sex were so very jam packed thereafter that after ten minutes I was tapped out.
This is a trend that has long existed in such dark comedy horror tales but seems to have become more explicit with the advent of “TV” shows that air on cable, satellite, etc. and thus are not censored in the least bit.
Such shows are obviously tailor made for personages who already are drunkards, drug users, employ an expletive into their vocabulary every other word, are sexual perverts, etc., etc., etc. It is the psychology of “me too” or “at least I am not that bad so it is okay.”
Thus, so much for this bit of poop-culture.
