An organization getting a lot of—good, bad and ugly—attention in the UK is Educate & Celebrate. They are succeeding in infiltrating elementary schools so as to push a gender fluid agenda upon a captive audience consisting of little children who are still developing discernment skills.
One current news item is the UK taxpayer funded book by CJ Atkinson titled, “Can I Tell You About Gender Diversity?” and no, they will not even balance it out with “Can I Tell You About Gender Norms?” or some such thing. The prior Master of Wellington College noted that respect for all includes those who believe in traditional values. As an activist, Atkinson knows how to push those scare tactic triggers and notes that he and/or she considers any opposition to be “trans-panic” noting that it causes “active harm” and that “The world is changing” so let us just go with it. Well, as I have variously noted on the issue of homosexuality (which is a mere facet of a multidimensional issue) there is a difference between a transgendered or transsexual person as an individual on the one hand and the transgendered or transsexual agenda driven activism movement on the other.
For such activists LGBTQP becomes a worldview-philosophy (not surprisingly, CJ Atkinson holds a PhD in philosophy and not in any socio-science that would qualify him and/or her to be some sort of expert in this field). Thus, they base all of their opinions on the basis of LGBTQP, with LGBTQP as the premise, the foundation, the lens whereby to interpret and discern all things: which political party to support, which theology is true, who is good or bad, what is moral, etc., etc., etc., are all judged via what they have to say about LGBTQP.
Thus, if you have any opposing views to LGBTQP whether they are commonsensical, scientific, philosophic, etc., then you can now simply be dismissed by being labeled trans-panicked. Also, the issue is not simply that “The world is changing” but that the world is being changed and changed as per a socio-political agenda pushed by activists.
As an example of “active harm” CJ Atkinson noted the high rate of suicides by transgender/transsexual youths. Note that it is being presupposed that not being catered to or being bullied is being blamed for this—this is poor philosophy. The book features teaching children about how to take hardcore pharmaceuticals in the form of hormone blockers. In the book a 12-year-old states, “When I was born, the doctors told my mum and dad that they had a baby girl…I wasn’t ever very happy that way” and so she takes puberty-blocking drugs so as to “stop my body developing in ways that make me unhappy.”
Now, apparently the doctors know not of what they speak because a child knows better. Also, note that the premise for radically changing the natural growth of the body with a concoction of chemicals is due to feelings, “I wasn’t ever very happy that way.” Thus, the body’s natural processes are arrested and reengineered so as to “stop my body developing…” the way it was designed to develop. And yet, for some reason such activists do not recognize the utter havoc that this causes to the body, mind and soul.
Shockingly Educate & Celebrate’s PRIDE in Early Years Education campaign seeks to “make children’s centres and nursery schools LGBT+Friendly.” Getting their agenda in to “nursery schools,” meaning indoctrinating children under 5, is as close as they can get to kicking in your home’s door. This project of theirs is a full frontal multimedia assault including, “beautifully illustrated picture books, activities, films and songs.” Educate & Celebrate should to change their name to Indoctrinate & Promulgate.

For example, Educate & Celebrate “are experts in transforming schools and organisations into LGBT+Friendly places” and not experts in bio-chemistry, medicine or any related field, “All our Educate & Celebrate trainers are experienced teachers who have made their own schools LGBT+Friendly” and not experienced in bio-chemistry or medicine or any related field. They craft “curriculum to successfully eradicate homophobia, biphobia and transphobia from our schools and communities” and are approved of by the UK’s Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills and the Department for Education.
Yet, their goal is the key, “Increasing visibility around Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity changes and saves lives.” Note how they link a goal of “LGBT+Friendly places” to the extreme of claiming to save lives. Well, it has been scientifically proved that what they are doing is the exact opposite of saving lives.
Side note: I inquired about the UK government’s approval and received a reply from John Peart who is the Senior Policy Adviser for the UK’s Government Equalities Office.
He affirmed that indeed, “The Government Equalities Office, which is part of the Department for Education, has previously funded Educate and Celebrate in 2015-2016 as part of a wider £2 million investment to help prevent and tackle homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying in schools. Currently, Educate and Celebrate are not the recipient of any grants from Department for Education or the Government Equalities Office.” Thus, they are approved of, they have also received moneys yet, they are not at this moment.I replied, “…I wondered about it since one item which they are brining into classrooms as an educational aide is a book by CJ Atkinson titled “Can I Tell You About Gender Diversity?” My concern is not that the book tells students about gender diversity but that it all but recommends the taking of “puberty-blocking drugs.” Educate and Celebrate and Atkinson are not in the medical field and thus have no expertise in such matters. My concern is that, in essence, we have a situation whereby unqualified activists are offering children medical advice without their parent’s consent.”

Former chief of psychiatry at Johns Hopkins Hospital and distinguished service professor of psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Paul McHugh, published research in August 2016 AD which states, “The hypothesis that gender identity is an innate, fixed property of human beings that is independent of biological sex — that a person might be ‘a man trapped in a woman’s body’ or ‘a woman trapped in a man’s body’ — is not supported by scientific evidence.” But who cares about what such research finds when, after all, a little child can experience an emotion and be told that that (likely temporary and fleeting) emotions are enough to topple all relevant research. The research also noted, “Children are a special case when addressing transgender issues. Only a minority of children who experience cross-gender identification will continue to do so into adolescence or adulthood” because, surprise, emotions change and many simply outgrow their childhood feelings.
Even adults who undergo sex change operations, which are now known as sex reassignment surgery, experience “a higher risk of experiencing poor mental health outcomes.” Those who undergo such extreme surgical interventions are five times more likely to attempt suicide and about 19 times more likely to die by suicide.
