Lawrence Krauss “can't prove that God doesn't exist”

One simply must appreciate the rare moments of clarity, those moments of honesty we are ever so rarely gifted by personages with whom we tend to disagree. For example, asked about the Darwinian survival benefit of a half scale / half feather, Richard Dawkins noted that he could not think of one but that it must have happened and had an advantage (so as to be built and kept by evolution as just that, an advantage) was something which he held as “a matter of faith on my part.”

In Is Neil deGrasse Tyson: Atheist? I noted that he stated, “I want to put on the table, not why 85% of the members of the National Academy of Sciences reject God, I want to know why 15% of the National Academy don’t. That’s really what we’ve got to address here. Otherwise, the public is secondary to this…if you can’t convert our colleagues, why do you have any hope that you’re going to convert the public?”
Clearly, Tyson, et al., mix their scientific exploits with their Atheist missionary work.

Lawrence Krauss is amongst the latest misosophers who, along with Stephen Hawking et al. demonstrate the tragedy of a person who is educated in such a compartmentalized manner that when they take one step outside their particular field of knowledge, they demonstrate they are not very useful for much else.

Hawking has noted that “philosophy is dead” even whilst basing his cosmogony and cosmology on philosophy and stating, “What I meant by ‘we would know the mind of God’ is we would know everything that God would know if there was a God, but there isn’t. I’m an atheist.” Based on this, I wrote Atheist Stephen Hawking claims to know that God does not exist wherein I noted that since he made a positive claim to possessing knowledge that God does not exist, he is to be called upon to present evidence and proof. Some Atheists took issue and took the pop-Atheism one liner approach to the effect of that Hawking needs prove nothing since Atheism is, according to their authoritative claim, a merely lack of belief in god(s). They fail to note that, as noted, Hawking placed himself in the positive affirmation of God’s non-existence denomination of Atheism, as have many celebrity Atheists, see Some celebrity New Atheists who positively affirm God’s non-existence…

Well, Lawrence Krauss has stated, “I can’t prove that God doesn’t exist, but I’d much rather live in a universe without one” and by stating a preference, without evidence or proof, he feels justified in being an Atheist missionary who abuses science towards Atheistic ends.

In the next segment, I will consider his article, “All Scientists Should Be Militant Atheists”—note, not just that “All Scientists Should Be Atheists” but be “Militant.”
