Homosexual agendas: do Target stores support them?

Yes, this too is a worldview. Indeed, for some, homosexuality is not merely about loving a like gendered, same sex person but it is a worldview.

The line from lifestyle choice into worldview occurs with one or more forms of activism. When a chosen lifestyle consumes one’s thoughts, words and deeds it becomes a worldview. When it comes to homosexuality this happens in the form of activism within the realms of politics and in viewing homosexuality as a movement an agenda.

When activism within a movement becomes a focus for someone, at whatever level, it becomes, or can become, a worldview. This worldview results in getting one’s self-identification, self-understanding, self-worth, etc. in terms of the movement which, in this case, is based upon a chosen lifestyle. With the worldview firmly in place, all things are then filtered via the worldview. Thus, if a theology condemns homosexuality then that theology is condemned as fallacious. If a political party, movement or politician does not endorse homosexuality then that party, movement or politician is condemned upon that basis. If an ethic condemns homosexuality then that ethic is condemned. If a culture, nation, society condemns homosexuality then that culture, nation, society is said to be prejudice, homophobic, backwards, etc. and on it goes.

When one’s very identity is based upon such considerations and actions it has become a worldview. Thus, in view is homosexuality not as two like gendered, same sex persons in love but as a worldview agenda driven movement. In particular view is the “Pride” movement: when you take pride in your chosen lifestyle your self-identification, self-understanding, self-worth, etc. follow. Moreover, you then tend to move from seeking acceptance to demanding approval.

In a previous article, Are homosexuals accurately represented in the media?, it was noted that homosexuals are grossly overrepresented in the media, particularly on TV. You can hardly go ten minutes of watching even broadcast TV without encountering an, of course, positive representation of homosexuality in various forms from media personalities to show characters.

For example, the TV show So You Think You Can Dance has a deadline age of 30 years for participants. Thus, anyone older than 30 is simply not qualified to even register much less audition. However, on a recent broadcast two flamboyant homosexuals auditioned and were given a very long bio background complete with interviews at home, at work, etc. They auditioned only to be told that which they were told they already knew: they were beyond the age and thus, not eligible.

But why then, pray tell, where they even allowed the privilege that no other over 30 yrs. is allowed? It was yet another unjustified glorification of homosexuality.

Now, Target stores is joining the cultural fight and supporting homosexuality in deeds and funds. They are advertising that “June is National Pride Month.” Did you know that? It is “National Pride Month.” But pride in and/or about what? Generic “Pride” in general? What?

They do not say…but they do as they specify that “For each PRIDE item sold, Target will donate 100% of the purchase price to Family Equality Council.” Family Equality Council pro-homosexual organization.

The shirts being sold to provide funds for this organization include the pro-homosexual rainbow image in various forms. One includes the term “Love is Love.”

“Pride comes before a fall”
