What is Prayer???:
Simply stated, prayer is communication between men and God. In part 3, Teach us How to Chant??? we will see that Jesus taught against repetitive prayer. Now we see that in the verse just previous to that Jesus clearly teaches that prayer is a personal, intimate, private thing,

“But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly…” (Matthew 6:6).

When Jesus’ disciples asked Him to teach them who to pray Jesus never taught repetitive prayer. In fact, as we have seen, He specifically taught against it. Moreover, Jesus taught to pray only to the Father and to do so in the name of Jesus Christ,

“This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one'” (Matthew 6:9-13).

“my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete” (John 16:23-24).

Our Father is not just a generic higher power, there are sixty-six books in the Bible to teach us who is Our Father. Likewise with Jesus, He is not just another ascended master or just another man who tapped into the Christ consciousness, He made claims that were exclusive to Himself-He is the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father but by Him.
