In Joe Keysor‘s well-timed book, “Hitler, the Holocaust, and the Bible,” the reader is taken into the intriguing but sobering worldview that drove the machinations of Hitler’s regime. The timing is right, because Joe Keysor recognizes that when Reductio ad Hitlerum arguments against Christianity are packaged in philosophical sophistry and served up by the disarming bespectacled professor, that it is time to call the bluff.

Joe Keysor delves into the facts so that they can speak for themselves. As a result, a fascinating picture emerges pieced together from each of the influencing voices upon which the Third Reich drew its Raison d’etre.

Presented is clear evidence of influencing connections involved through a forensic examination of the similarities, writings, and concurrence of thought. The decidedly counter-Christian basis that most people, familiar with the Sermon on the Mount, rationally assumed to be the case is solidly reinforced with facts.

At the same time, a sobering reminder is provided of the historically recurring pattern and inevitable tragic outcome when brilliant and talented thinkers throw off the common sense restraints of a Biblical worldview and seek to “improve” mankind from a basis of human reason alone.

Unintended turn-of-the-tables results when it becomes evident that rather than being influenced by Christianity, the National Socialist movement sought to restrain and eventually dispense with the influence of the historic Church in Germany. Their use of philosophical sophistry and self-serving reinterpretation of the Bible have an uncanny resemblance to the methods used today by adversaries of the Christian worldview.

Joe Keysor’s “Hitler, The Holocaust, and the Bible” is an invaluable reference for the Church today in defending against this unwarranted association.
