Greg Koukl on pro-abortion “logic”

Well, when someone supports the subhuman, inhuman and inhumane brutal dismembering murder of beautiful, healthy, innocent and defenseless human babies you simply cannot expect them to base their view on anything even near the realm of logic (or ethics, for that matter).

The main argument of the pro-abortionist with whom Greg Koukl speaks is that unless you are personally doing something to help those babies after they are born then you have no right to be pro-life. Now, could we argue that unless you are personally funding baby death camps/abortion clinics or personally performing abortions yourself you cannot be pro-abortion? Next, during WWII you could have opposed Nazism without having to personally house and feed Jews who escaped the Nazis. Finally, Greg Koukl hits the nail on the head (all along but especially right at the end) when he states to the caller that it seems as if no matter what he is personally doing for those babies (and their mothers) it will not be enough.

Indeed, he offers example after example after example after example and the point holds true; the pro-abortionist’s “standard” is, of course, so utterly arbitrary that no matter what one is doing or how much of it they are doing it is not enough—it is simply an argument that you cannot win because it is not an argument but an assertions followed by a blanket dismissal.
