Drunkenness meets the occult in modern science

In 1983 AD astronomers Hisashi Hirabayashi and Masaki Morimoto, of the Nishi-Harima Astronomical Observatory, sent an email to the Altair solar system (16 light-years from Earth) and expect a reply early in 2015 AD.

Hey, Hisashi and Masaki, did you remember to ensure that Altair’s e-address is not marked as spam?

The astronomers were drunk at the time of the emailing (EWI-Emailing While Intoxicated). They concocted a graphic attachment (hope the Altairians took down their firewall) which included the molecular formula for ethanol along with the term kanpai (Cheers!) along with the English word toast.

The, so called, email was actually a radio-wave signal sent from a US radio telescope.

Where things get serious, and occult, is that they sent the message on Tanabata which is a Japanese festival celebrating the meeting of the stars Vega (relating to the goddess Orihime) and the star Altair (relating to the god Hikoboshi).

The image also included info about our solar system and the Earth’s location, numbers, the structure of human DNA along with an illustration of a family, and, unfortunately, a misrepresentation of how human life came into being via an illustration of a fish coming out of the sea onto dry land.

One slight issue may be that, as Hirabayashi notes, “We haven’t even observed any planets around Altair, so it is highly unlikely we will receive a response.”

On the level of the occult what happened is, whether there are planets or aliens around Altair or not, that humans send willful intentions inviting aliens to our planet during an occult ritual mating of the gods.

Getting drunk and doing something you will regret the next day is one thing, getting drunk and opening a gateway for demons (see our series on UFOs, Aliens, Demons, etc.) to descend upon humanity is, well, quite another.
