Discussion on Steve Quayle’s on the “Giants” of Genesis 6:4

I referred to a “Discussion on Steve Quayle’s on the ‘Giants’ of Genesis 6:4” since the following took place due to the YouTube video “In Dept [sic.] Look at the Giants of Genesis 6:4 (Steve Quayle)” to which I commented:

Referring to “Giants of Genesis 6:4” only causes confusion since the (generic) word giant is also used to translate Rephaim, Gen 6 provides no physical description. In fact, the Bible never physically describes Nephilim and there is no such thing as post-flood Nephilim.

We should never base our theology on one verse and the claim that they are giants is from Num 13:33 but who stated it and why did they do so?
There is a reason why that one verse is the one and only place in the entire Bible where we get 1. post-flood Nephilim, 2. that the Anakim are related to Nephilim and 3. that the Nephilim are very, very tall.
That verse was stated by disloyal/unfaithful spies who were said to present a bad/evil report and were rebuked for it. Also, Moses and Caleb affirm the Anakim were in the land and God affirms the Amalekites and Canaanites were in the land but none of them say anything about Nephilim nor that those tribes were related to them.
So, chose you this day: will you believe rebuked disloyal/unfaithful spies who were said to present a bad/evil report? As for me and my house, we will believe Moses, Caleb (Joshua) and God.
You will find that if you read that whole portion of Num 13 again that the spies speak good of the land, but are afraid of strong people and fortified cities, Caleb chimes in to encourage the people and only then are the spies said to present an evil/bad report and only within that evil/bad report do they make claims about which the entire rest of the Bible knows absolutely nothing.

A certain “American Patriot,” replied:

I’ve been studying this stuff for years and I believe understanding Genesis is the key. We are going backwards in time. To the days of Nimrod (One World Everything), Days of Sodom (LGBT Agenda), Days of Noah (Genetic corruption).
I was not sure about the return of the Fallen Angels, but when I read this) (Revelation 9:15) “And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.” Just four of them are going to kill 1/3 of mankind living on the planet at that time.
The Giants? (Genesis 6:4) “There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.” Nimrod / Gilgamesh, claimed to be part man part god. (Genesis 10:8) “And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.” Well the bible calls him a mighty one or as in Gen 6 a mighty man Watch: (Revelation 6:15) “And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;”
We have mighty men again….. (Revelation 19:18) “That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.”
Whatever this verse means, but this in good cause this is right after Jesus returns. You have captains, mighty men, horses and their riders and mankind. [ellipses in original]

I replied:

I agree that fallen Angles will return and yes, due to Rev 9 but the Bible knows utterly nothing of any sort of return of Nephilim concept and the days of Noah merely refers to people going on with a business as usual attitude whilst being unaware of coming judgment (at least, this is what Jesus referred to).
Also, you cannot jump from fallen Angles in Rev 9 to asking if there are “Giants” for a handful of reasons: 1) the term “Giants” is generic, 2) but if it is used to mean a body length or to taller than average then is no indication that fallen Angels or Nephilim were “Giants,” 3) it is a term used to translate pre-flood “Nephilim” and post-flood “Rephaim” which only causes confusion so it is better to ignore it and use Nephilim or Rephaim instead, etc.
Also, you seem to take “also after that” to mean post-flood but you cannot know that until you know what is meant by “those days.” And we can know that because the text tells us twice including in the portion you quote, “when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them” which could have been as early as when Adam and Eve’s children started having children. Yet, whenever those days were, after that only means that: after it began but still pre-flood.
There is no indication whatsoever that “Nimrod…claimed to be part man part god” even though such was claimed about Gilgamesh.
Sorry, but you cannot chase the word mighty around to make something out of nothing such as using it to force Gen 10 together with Gen 6 since you will then find the very same word, gibbowr, used of human beings, of heavenly beings, of God Himself, etc.

Yet, American Patriot never replied again.

Then Nikki Kelley chimed in with:

Ken Ammi i understand giants to be what the bible says they are Men of old men of reknown!!! David felt like a grasshopper to Goliath! They being larger and non human entities! They are all coming back! Thats the end times army.

I replied:

Well friend, “men of old, men of renown” is how Nephilim are described and since Gen 6 is the only reliable reference to them but it gives us no physical description then we have no idea if they were even one inch taller than average. But this brings us to the issue that the English term “giants” is vague, generic and subjective, as is the term “larger” that you used. There is no indication that “David felt like a grasshopper to Goliath.” Also, there is zero indication that “They are all coming back! Thats the end times army.”

Nikki Kelley:

Did you even listen to the entire lesson!?

Ken Ammi:

Friend, I implore you: the fact that you refer to it as a “lesson” is part of the problem. But it is quite simple: just direct me to even one single reference to post-flood Nephilim or a return of Nephilim (and, just in case, Num13:33 was stated by fearful unfaithful/disloyal spies who were rebuked for presenting a bad/evil report and they contradicted Moses, Joshua, Caleb and God—they just wove a tall tale.

But I never heard back from Nikki again.
