Discussing “Darwinian Evolution’s Occult, Pagan, New Age Roots” with an Atheist, 3 of 6

Continuing a discussion with an Atheist regarding the video Darwinian Evolution’s Occult, Pagan, New Age Roots—when all segments are posted, you will be able to find them all here.

Picking up from where the previous segment left off, Ken Ammi:

Well friend indeed, “To lie is to communicate with the intention of deceiving,” etc. and since you can only know if I am intending to deceive by reading my mind, you cannot call me a liar in this case, nor can you condemn lying based on your worldview.

And your appeal to pragmatism is merely a way for you to attempt to hide the fact that you recognize that you have no premise upon which to condemn lying. You say “Lying is damaging” but a LOT of people derive a LOT of benefit from lying so what do you say to them?

You proclaim that your “‘subjective preference’ is supported by evidence” but you have no premise upon which to prefer supporting your subjective preference on evidence: you are still getting ahead of yourself—in order to make up for lacking premises.

You then ask me to “Ask a billion people” which is merely an appeal to majority—in order to make up for lacking premises—and what would you have done if you asked Nazi Germans about life and death?

So you are merely getting emotive rather than dealing with issues that are inconvenient to your worldview—in order to make up for lacking premises.

You say “I am NOT impressed with what you have to say” but your subjective impressions are not a standard—nor a premise.

Please stop merely emoting and attempt to deal with the real issues.

Gary Walker:

Well friend indeed,

<We are NOT “friends”. >

“To lie is to communicate with the intention of deceiving,” etc. and since you can only know if I am intending to deceive by reading my mind, you cannot call me a liar in this case, nor can you condemn lying based on your worldview.

<Wrong. You are also lying if you state as fact something that you have not confirmed to be true. >

And your appeal to pragmatism is merely a way for you to attempt to hide the fact that you recognize that you have no premise upon which to condemn lying.

<F[***] you. My Secular Morality is superior to Biblical Morality on every point. >

You say “Lying is damaging” but a LOT of people derive a LOT of benefit from lying so what do you say to them?

<If I steal from you and deny that I did, it is still theft and morally wrong. Yeah I can then spend your money, but that does not justify the theft. >

You still have no evidence for creationism, your god or the validity of your fairy tale bible.

You deny anything that shows the real worth of your dogma and you refuse to acknowledge any point that is not your own.

You are wasting my time. F[***] off.

Ken Ammi (Well, at this point he is clearly playing the Atheism 101 card: all anger all of the time thus, I just went in that direction with him):

You are clearly experiencing some psycho-emotional problems: may be stay offline for a while, enjoy nature, etc.

Now, I am not wasting your time, you are wasting it by replying.

Lastly, I am not in the least bit surprised that you are doing what 99% of Atheists do which is to go unhinged since your worldview tells you that you are nothing by an accidentally and temporarily existing reactionary animal and so you behave as such.

How terribly sad.

Gary Walker:

You are clearly experiencing some psycho-emotional problems:

<Nope. I know that magic is not real and that our origins can only honestly be explained in terms of natural processes. >

Now, I am not wasting your time, you are wasting it by replying.

<I am trying to educate you, an education you clearly missed. >

Lastly, I am not in the least bit surprised that you are doing what 99% of Atheists do which is to go unhinged since your worldview tells you that you are nothing by an accidentally and temporarily existing reactionary animal and so you behave as such.

<I am not “unhinged”. I am frustrated by fools that insist that magic is a legitimate way to explain anything. “God did it” is not an explanation. It is a useless lie.

We are animals true, but we are thinking animals. Religions try and stop us from thinking. Science tries to keep us thinking.>

We will pick it up from there in the next segment.
