Discussing “Darwinian Evolution’s Occult, Pagan, New Age Roots” with an Atheist, 2 of 6

Continuing a discussion with an Atheist regarding the video Darwinian Evolution’s Occult, Pagan, New Age Roots—when all segments are posted, you will be able to find them all here.

Picking up from where the previous segment left off, Gary Walker:

I am not reading your novel. I can and will change my world view given evidence of magical creation that explains biodiversity, past and present, better than the Theory of Evolution. Good luck with that.

Ken Ammi:

Friend, I have not written any novels. If you are an Atheist, and evolutionist, or an Atheist evolutionist then you have no premise upon which to even appeal to “evidence” since you are just an ape pounding away at a keyboard which makes your demand utterly absurd.

Gary Walker:

Friend,

<You are not my “friend”. >

I have not written any novels.

<Your previous post was long winded and entirely fiction, that sounds like a novel to me. >

If you are an Atheist, and evolutionist, or an Atheist evolutionist then you have no premise upon which to even appeal to “evidence” since you are just an ape pounding away at a keyboard which makes your demand utterly absurd.

<We are all apes, even if you do not like that fact. That you accept assertions without evidence shows that you are gullible and a fool. >

Ken Ammi:

Even if I wrote fiction and am a fool, how does your worldview provide you a premise for condemning fiction and foolishness? You are getting ahead of yourself and beginning with conclusions, again.

You will see what I mean when you claim “We are all apes” so what does it matter what an accidentally and temporarily existing ape believe?

Gary Walker:

Even if I wrote fiction and am a fool, how does your worldview provide you a premise for condemning fiction and foolishness?

<When you spread your foolish fiction as fact in place of scientific facts, you are lying, you are causing harm by teaching fairy tales as truth. >

You are getting ahead of yourself and beginning with conclusions, again.

<No I am not. >

You will see what I mean when you claim “We are all apes” so what does it matter what an accidentally and temporarily existing ape believe?

<We need our informed intelligence to solve the problems of the world so that we can prosper in peace, health and dignity. Your creationist lies and dogma only foster ignorance, bigotry and suffering. >

Ken Ammi:

Friend, it appears that you have not considered what it means to lie. Also, since you have proved that you have no premise upon which to condemn lying then even if I was doing so, you could not legitimately say anything against it—nor against fiction, nor against teaching fairy tales as truth.

I noted “You are getting ahead of yourself and beginning with conclusions, again” for this very reason and “No I am not” only proves that you are getting ahead of yourself and beginning with conclusions, again (again).

You seem to not realize that it may very well be that case that “We need our informed intelligence to solve the problems of the world so that we can prosper in peace, health and dignity” but the problem is that, on your own worldview, you have no premise upon which to say that. On your worldview that is a mere subjective preference.

You set up “prosper in peace, health and dignity” as virtues and “ignorance, bigotry and suffering” as condemnatory but again, without a premise. On your worldview, I am supposed to be impressed and convinced of that because a typing ape told me so.

Gary Walker:

Friend,

<We are NOT “Friend”s. >

it appears that you have not considered what it means to lie.

<To lie is to communicate with the intention of deceiving or to communicate data that you have NOT confirmed as true. >

Also, since you have proved that you have no premise upon which to condemn lying

<Do not tell me that I have no premise for condemning lying because I do not believe in your phony god.

My premise for honesty is that only accurate information is useful. If I tell you a lie, that is damaging your ability to prosper and understand reality. >

then even if I was doing so, you could not legitimately say anything against it—

<Lying is damaging. If you are too stupid and arrogant to understand that, put your MAGA hat back on and go kiss Trump’s ass, I am done with you. >

nor against fiction,

<Fictional stories are told as fiction and are therefore not lies. >

nor against teaching fairy tales as truth.

<Like you teaching the bible as truth. >

<My “subjective preference” is supported by evidence. Yours is supported by Kent Hovind. I win. >

You set up “prosper in peace, health and dignity” as virtues and “ignorance, bigotry and suffering” as condemnatory but again, without a premise.

<Don’t be f[***]ing stupid. Ask a billion people to choose to live in either of these and I know which will be more popular. Grow the f[***] up. >

On your worldview, I am supposed to be impressed and convinced of that because a typing ape told me so.

<It is absolute fact that I am NOT impressed with what you have to say. >

We will pick it up from there in the next segment.
