Ken Ammi:

Thank you, the kids had fun, as did I. Agreed that God never specifically said to so we could end here but for your but… So “God gave him the victory” or “LORD delivered them into his hands” and you will note that I pointed out that there was a system whereby to redeem the firstborn by sacrificing animals by proxy. The issue of “Why would an omnipotent being, who knew that was gonna happen, LET it happen” relates to everything that has ever happened and reminds me of John Loftus’ “logic” whereby he wanted to commit adultery, but God condemns adultery, but he went ahead and committed adultery and God did not stop him therefore: there is no God. Well, God made it clear time and time again that He condemns human sacrifice so we cannot say that He did not stop it as He commanded that it not be done. Thus, as I noted in my article either Jephthah and the priesthood were utterly corrupt at the time (which the greater context notes) or he offered a by proxy sacrifice. In fact, I may point out that you misunderstood my article as I did no claim that an animal came out first but that the sacrificial laws coincided with the offering of the first born children in commanding by proxy offerings. The article also explained why he and his daughter were so upset. As I concluded in the article: he either sacrificed her in direct violation of God’s commanding against human sacrifice or he offered a proxy animal and the results are sad for the reasons I noted (I am beginning to think you may have merely skimmed the article at most). There is a difference between capital punishment, even upon an altar for the specific purpose of desecrating it, and a sacrifice to God; the text makes this very clear. Also, destruction by fire is not a sacrifice.

Now, if I may, do you condemn human sacrifice and logical fallacies and if so, upon what premise?

I may have misunderstood somethings, but I didn’t find your argumentation convincing but I’m just gonna move to the question.
Do I condem human sacrifice ? Yes. Logical fallacies. .. well I think they should be avoided but I don’t condem logical fallacies in the same way I would human sacrifice.

Ken Ammi:

Simply stated “sacrifice” (in this case as defined within the Bible’s concepts, contents and contexts) means something and we cannot simply apply it to anything and everything we want just to make a point. Friend, if I may follow up: why do you condemn human sacrifice?
