Darwinism by Censorship – “Darwin’s Dilemma” Gets X’d

The documentary Darwin’s Dilemma has a big target on which is being aimed at by proponents of the Darwin only restrict-a-thought school of indoctrination. It was due to be featured at the Smithsonian affiliate The California Science Center but was pulled due to an unspecified reference to contracting issues.

Apparently, the Smithsonian has an a priori conclusion as a founding principle and has a long history of censorship, attempts at censorship and rejection of anything which challenged the reigning orthodoxy.

Casey Luskin did a good job of reporting some such instances in his article Darwin’s Dilemma: Evolutionary Elite Choose Censorship over Scientific Debate.

You can also listen to an audio interview regarding this issue here.

This reminded me of when my local PBS station refused to show Unlocking The Mystery Of Life you know, ′cause PBS is so unbiased and ev′ry′ting!

I was also reminded of when Jonathan Wells wrote a completely non-Intelligent Design related article on embryology which passed all of the referees of a peer reviewed science journal. It was due to be published until they found out that he was one of those people and censored him.

And then Darwin-onlyites proclaim victory by stating that Intelligent Design proponents do not publish in peer reviewed science journal—oi vey!
