Revolve; Man’s Scientific Rise to Godhood
There is a monumental story lying within the thick of all this. It involves the past, present, and future of our species. For this reason transhumanism cannot be ignored and must be understood for what it truly is. (p. 20)
There is a concept-movement-worldview-“religion” (all rolled into one) known variously as transhumanism, post-humanism, etc. (sometimes symbolized as “H+” meaning humanity plus).
This concept includes the employment of genetic manipulation, cloning, artificial wombs, nanotechnology, bio-technological implants (human enhancements), the digitizing of the contents of the human brain so as to store and up/down-load, trans-genderism, omni-surveillance, and much, much, much, much more.
Transhumanism has as many ways to be considered as it has ways to express itself. Its PR face is a happy one which seeks to benefit humanity by doing away with disease and even death. Its technological face claims that scientific advancements will inevitably move towards benefiting humanity. Its socio-political face claims to bring all people together via mutual beneficence. Its occult / mystery religion / alchemical / secret society face seeks to accomplish the great work of transforming humanity into gods…wait, what?!?!
Well, that is the deep, dark, bottomless rabbit hole (a demonic-bionic rabbit) down which Aaron Franz guides us and why he references “Man’s Scientific Rise to Godhood.” (now available in Kindle here).
Nuclear physicist and human cloning advocate Richard Seed stated the following (p. 34):
God made man in his own image. God intended for man to become one with God. We are going to become one with God. We are going to have almost as much knowledge and almost as much power as God. Cloning and the reprogramming of DNA is the first serious step in becoming one with God. [National Public Radio, January 7, 1998 AD]
A decade later, he took it up a notch or two in stating:
We are going to become Gods, period. If you don’t like it, get off. You don’t have to contribute, you don’t have to participate but if you are going to interfere with me becoming a God, you’re going to have trouble. There’ll be warfare. [TechnoCalyps – Part II – Preparing for the Singularity, November 14, 2008 AD]
Considering the amount of info he covers, he ends up doing a great job of elucidating very complex issues. For example, he explains a bit of technology: what it is, how it works, who made it and why, citations to records, quotations and ties a knot of why it is something about which to be concerned. Understand that the scientific and governmental (and occult) community is premised upon compartmentalization and so one bit of technology which, seemingly, only performs one no big deal task could be coupled with another bit of tech which turns it into something very different with different applications, etc.
In fact, Aaron has obviously done his research and as with any honest researcher admits that just how the whole enchilada will play out is simply unknown. This is for various reasons such as that there is so much interplay or so many concepts that while we may discern a patter and connect many dots; the final picture remains fuzzy.
“It is important to point out that this entire philosophy is based on speculation, and in truth, we do not know the full ramifications of what will come of all this.” (p. 27)
Transhumanism seeks to create the ultimate GMO (genetically modified organism) or, rather, the ultimate TMO (technologically modified organism) although, behind it all we are dealing with a combination thereof and much more; we are dealing with technoccult.
One strength of the book is that, for the most part and with few exceptions, Aaron Franz does a good job of presenting the topic and his opposition to transhumanism whilst keeping his personal worldview out of it. Of course, we all have a worldview and it, by definition, is the lens via which we discern all things. However, if we premise an argument solely upon a particular view we are likely to only appeal to those who already share our worldviews. There were some statements of a personal nature with which I disagreed however, these do not affect the facts of the tranhuman movement; its history (both exoteric and esoteric), its claims, its goals, etc., and what it may all mean to all of us.
The book is well referenced and so anyone with interest in any particular topic covered—from alchemy to technology and beyond—will have an easy time of following up.
“The fact is that alchemy and magic are indeed related to transhumanism is freely admitted by the WTA [World Transhumanist Association]. In the Philosophical and Cultural Antecedents (section 5.1) of their FAQ they say,
That people really strove to live longer and richer lives can also be seen in the development of systems of magic and alchemy; lacking scientific means of producing an elixir of life, one resorted to magical means.” (p. 35)
Aaron urges us to “Get…up to speed on decades of secret research because the product of that research is to be used on you.” (p. 21) and quotes the occultist Eliphas Levi’s The History of Magic, “But one must not move quicker than science, which recedes that it may advance the further.” (FYI: Levi’s works were largely plagiarized by Albert Pike and make up portions of Pike’s Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry).
Along the way you will also learn about concepts of propaganda and even who the movers and shakers view the world and its people.
We used to sit, in the dark, around bright fire pits and hear great myths. Today we sit, in the dark, around bright screens and hear great myths.
“The motion picture by means of its ‘reality’ integrates the spectator so completely that an uncommon spiritual force or psychological education is necessary to resist its pressures.
-Jaques Ellul, The Technological Society, 1967” (p. 68)
As to the inner workings of various forms of media and how it is being used, Aaron writes:
“Remember that entertainment is predictive programming. It conditions the mass mind into certain ways of thinking. Marilyn Manson’s art is part of an alchemical process of (re)creation, which itself is referred to as an art. The postgender goal of posthumanity is slowly being normalized. At first, it is shocking, but eventually the predictive programming becomes less and less abrasive. Slowly but surely, the stone is sculpted.” (p. 160)
But what does a shock-rocker have to do with transhumanism? Well, many adults would not keep up with Marilyn Manson and postgenderism is the least of it. Circa 1994 AD, early in Manson’s career, he and his band were interviewed (on the Midnight Blue NYC cable access show). Speaking of himself and/or the band, which is named after him, he stated:
[Manson] Marilyn Manson is about power. Power to the strong, **** the weak. Marilyn Manson is the combination of two extremes: positive and negative, male and female… [Voice in background states] The Hegelian Dialectic. [Manson] Marilyn Monroe, Charles Manson. Transcending morality and sexuality. No boundaries, grey area, that’s us… [Voice in background states] Beyond good and evil, my friend.
[Manson] Nietzsche, Anton LaVey, Satan… (p. 159)
Elsewhere, Marilyn Manson has stated:
I’m into the concepts of Nietzsche and [Church of Satan founder Anton] LeVey—of being your own god…Good and evil are interchangeable, and if you merge them together so that there are no boundaries between them, there’s a grey area. There’s no sexuality, no morality and no line between on-stage and off-stage. That’s where we reside. That’s our lifestyle.
One could write an entire book on these few statements. Let us just say that they are very advanced and purposeful. The bottom line is that they take the extremes (the two pillars representing dichotomy) and combining them (two become one as per the triangle/pyramid). The Hegelian Dialectic is thesis, antithesis, synthesis (problem, reaction, solution); Manson makes a ruckus, the “conservative” establishment throws a fit, this only makes Manson even more popular and prepubescent, naturally rebellious, boys buy his message hook, line and stinker.
Barbara Marciniak (about whom we wrote here) is a medium, a spirit channeler, in the guise of someone who receives messages from extra-terrestrial aliens from the Pleiades (she claims that they are contacting her from the future).
As quoted in Aaron Franz’s Revolve; Man’s Scientific Rise to Godhood, she wrote:
What is occurring upon the planet now is the literal mutation of your physical body, for you are allowing it to be evolved to a point where it will be a computer that can house this information.
-Barbara Marciniak, Bringers of the Dawn, 1992
Of this, Aaron notes:
If this isn’t referring to the transmutation of man into cyborg then what is? For anyone who thought they could get away with interpreting this as a spiritual event, the reality is laid out, this is going to occur due to biogenetic engineering. So be prepared. When advanced technology arrives promising you evolution, have no fear. Embrace it as a beautiful thing. We can now clearly see that the spiritual evolution found in new age propaganda is intimately connected with the transhuman agenda…
Marciniak writes about studies that are being done to see who has “recessive genes,” in order to determine what individuals carry the “chord of light” within them. Remember eugenics? How about the Human Genome Project? Where, oh where, have our precious blood samples gotten off to, and why are DNA databases now a topic of interest in the media? Actual scientific experimentation is being referenced here. (p. 223)
In short, what extra-terrestrial alien messages break down to is that the Earth and its people are in danger of destroying themselves and the aliens are here (or, somewhere) to help us save us from ourselves. Their solution is always the same; come together in a one world religion and one world government.
Well, this should be more than enough for you to discern the importance of this book and how many areas it covers very well. We will leave this review with some more quotes of interest for the sake of saturation and fascination.
Keep in mind that he does make some basic and not so basic errors when it comes to Judeo-Christian theology. I pointed some of these out to him and he did not reply.
“Transhumanists seek to make their dreams come true in this world, by relying not on supernatural powers or divine intervention but on rational thinking and empiricism, through continued scientific, technological, economic, and human development. Some of the prospects that used to be the exclusive thunder of the religious institutions, such as very long lifespan, unfading bliss, and godlike intelligence, are being discussed by transhumanists as hypothetical future engineering achievements.
-The Transhumanist FAQ, 2003.” (p. 73)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Within a few generations, lifelong bliss that exceeds any fantasized Christian afterlife can become the genetically-coded basis of our existence. If we want our kids to enjoy mental superhealth – emotional, intellectual, and ethical – then we can design their genetic makeup to ensure every moment of every day is a sublime revelation.
“The ‘Cyborg Buddha Project’ of the IEET [The Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies] is the brainchild of James Hughes, George Dvorsky, and Mike La Torra. All three of these men have been practicing Buddhists…Their combined effort is focused on the creation of enhanced states of consciousness with emerging technologies. It is a project of paradise engineering if ever there was one. The three of us are launching the IEET Cyborg Buddha Project to combine our efforts and promote discussion of the impact that neuroscience and emerging neurotechnologies will have on happiness, spirituality, cognitive liberty, moral behavior and the exploration of mediational and ecstatic states of mind.
-Hughes, La Torra, Dvorsky, Cyborg Buddha Project, IEET.org” (p. 79)
“Hughes mentioned the fact that experiments already have been done with transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). These tests have used magnetic fields to stimulate electrical activity in the brain. Such experiments are very similar to the famed ‘God Helmet’ of Michael Persinger. This device induced varied mystic experiences for people including divine revelation, meeting with space aliens, and sensations of time travel. A small minority of the God Helmet subject claimed to be in the presence of God.” (p. 80)
In other words; forget prayer, forget meditation, forget psychedelic drugs, forget the long hard work of mysticism as transhumanism promises “spiritual” experiences on demand.
“the various mysteries of spiritual experience are systematically being explained as simple electro-chemical functions of the brain. Science seeks the source-code that creates all of these spiritual phenomena.” (p. 80)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“In ages past, paradise was promised by religion, today more and more people abandon traditional religion in favor of scientific humanism. The old path to paradise is being rerouted to fit this circumstance.” (p. 72)

“…the IEET [The Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies] paper [Postgenderism by Hughes and Dvorsky, p. 3] makes mention of this chemical attach, but doesn’t mention that it has been done purposefully, The incidence of intersexuality is disputed, and it many now be more prevalent than before due to environmental chemicals that mimic estrongen and interfere with fetal genital development. …Dr. Hughes, was asked what chemicals were being referred to here. Hughes said they were, Pseudo-estrongens and endocrine disruptors, specifically phthalates from plastics.
Now why exactly are these plastics all around us? BPA/phthalates have been present in food and water packing for a very long time…We aren’t supposed to question why these toxins have been used so widely in the first place. (p. 169)

Let us consider for a moment the development of the mind switch…the mind switch is even more revolutionary for it will enable men to direct mechanical apparatus and electrical functions through brainwaves by the mastery of the energy currents flowing through the mind. [Elizabeth Clare Prophet,
Saint Germain on Alchemy, p. 86]
This is obviously talking about brain-machine interfaces, which were not commonly discussed in 1985…Very specific uses for BMIs that echo those of the 2001 NBIC report are to be found here as well. Crime prevention will be carried out by a new and improved justice system,
The wave patterns caused by criminal tendencies and crimes recorded in the etheric body will also be ‘photographed’…evidence of guilt or innocence will thereby be afforded those administrators of justice who formerly relied on incomplete knowledge of events in the penalizing of delinquent individuals.
[Prophet, p. 87]
This is all part of a divinely inspired government that will be established in the new age. It will hold its power over the populace in the name of science. Minds will literally be read, and no thought will go unrecorded. Funny how this is all being described as a lovely spiritual thing by the new age movement isn’t it?
Of course Armageddon is described as well. The Age of Transitions, a time of catastrophic disaster, is always part of the new age program. It has to be, because it is in fact happening. As chaos arrives, we have to accept it as a natural occurrence so that we never search for the real reasons behind it.We are vulnerable to any number of potential disasters – economic collapse, nuclear war, crime, pollution, toxic wastes, and dangerous new technologies, not to mention the genetic engineering of the
coming race. [Prophet, p. 135]
Here we see a description of the disaster-ridden end times coupled with a vision of genetically engineered posthumanity. Another dramatic correlation to transhumanism can be seen in this book’s description of human reproduction in the coming new age utopia (p. 229)
