Let us get right to a problem with this book: as you keep turning the pages you get sad at the fact that its end is drawing closer. The book is really that fascinating and engaging.
Of course, with every pages turned you will gain much info and be all the better prepared to think through some very complex and esoteric issues.
Let us get to know the author, from her bio, and then consider the substance of her book Eden: The Knowledge of Good and Evil 666:
Dr. Joye Jeffries Pugh is an alumna of South Georgia College, Valdosta State College and Nova University where she received her doctorate in education. Her background involves working as a researcher, counselor, mental retardation professional, human services director and consultant. Dr. Joye’s complete biographical history is featured in Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Women, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, Who’s Who in American Education, and Who’s Who in Georgia…
Dr. Pugh’s dissertation, “A Program to Decrease Obesity in the Mentally Retarded Adult Population” was a major applied research project encompassing 18 months of training and data collection which allowed her to scientifically prove her theory that mentally retarded adults could achieve the same physical level as that found within the normal population…Dr. Pugh is keenly interested in how the spirit within human beings allows subjects with limited mental and physical capabilities to transcend established expectation…Most importantly, for over 30 years now, Dr. Pugh has been involved in researching Biblical prophecy. Joye consults with people from around the world on various issues and current events involving science and religion. She also serves as a consultant in education with M.U.F.O.N. regarding the spiritual and religious aspects of paranormal and UFO experiences.
As is readily discernible, Dr. Joye’s interested and scholarly pursuits are wide ranging and as interesting as her books.
Just perusing the chapter headings and sub-categories speaks volumes:

Good versus evil – your choice
The incredible thing is how Dr. Joye was able to take tremendous amounts of information and condensed it into a mere 481 pages. Think about it, multiple books have been written on each of these subjects. Yet, Dr. Joye provides enough info on each to have a firm grasp of their significance not only as stand along subjects but how they tie together.
You see, her purpose is to lay out a chain of causation, as it were, from the creation of the world to our eternal destiny including her convincing identification of the antichrist—no spoiler here, you will have to read the book.

Eden encompasses over 30 years of research…
One area in which the book lacks is in citations. For a book covering such vast and obscure topics it only contains 481 pages worth of endnotes. It does have an 8 page bibliography but that very is different than correlating specific statements to book and page numbers of which we get only 3 pages worth of endnotes. This means that those interested in further research in specific areas will have a harder time following up.
For example, she writes the following on p. 33:
God placed a “Mark” (X) on Cain to forever identify him for his iniquity. Cain’s eternal punishment was to walk the earth marked by the Lord God, because he would never be forgiven. This “Mark” (X) became the 1st Coat of Arms to represent the Dragon Kings—those outside the will of God.
An ancient Secret Society that existed in Egypt around 2170 B.C. was called the Imperial and Royal Court of the Dragon. They used, what some believe to be, the Mark of Cain as their emblem. The emblem was a Serpent swallowing its tail. Inside the circle was an “X.”
But whence came the info that the mark on Cain was an (X)? Where can we find the “1st Coat of Arms” of the “Dragon Kings? Or even more specifically, on what Egyptian temple, structure, obelisk, stele, etc. can we view the (X)? These questions remain unanswered—unless, that is, they are to be found somewhere within one of the various books in the bibliography; but where?
As a side note, meaning unrelated to the book or its bibliography: I happen to know, due to other studies, that a (X) is found upon the what in the early 1900s AD was Cairo, Egypt, Museum’s exhibit #666 which is the Stele of Ankh-ef-en-Khonsu aka Stele of Revealing. This was keyed in upon by Aleister Crowley: you can read about what he made of it in my article On Aleister Crowley’s motto “Do what thou wilt” (also, see the video Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page: “Lucifer Rising” and the stairway to hell (and Eddie Murphy) embedded below).
Some points of interest are her review of ancient histories:
The story of the Flood has also been found to exist on clay tablets unearthed at the ancient Babylonian city of Nineveh, where Ham’s lineage first settled after the Flood…Unfortunately, the two accounts [the Bible and the Babylonian] are written from opposing sides of the event.
In the Genesis version, Satan is portrayed as the wicked Serpent that brings sin into the Garden of Eden. According to the Babylonian version, Satan is praised as being the light bearer who saved mankind from their intellectually darkened state in the Garden of Eden. This version goes on to portray Jehovah (ENIL) as the jealous evil brother of the good god, Satan (E Kl). The entire rendition of the Babylonian record is in direct opposition to the Biblical account.
If you know anything about secret societies or mystery religions—by any other name—you know that these facts alone take you light years towards understanding the bottom line premise upon which such groups are based. Keep in mind that everything that satan does is basically to take that which YHVH has done and copy it yet, turning it inside out, upside down and backwards.
She goes on:
The Book of Genesis explains that the Earth became evil because of Satan’s temptations and mixing with humans. Jehovah chose to destroy this on-going mixing between Satan and mankind through the Flood. The Bible calls Satan a Dragon and identifies him with the name of ·Leviathan. ‘Leviathan’ is a Canaanite word that translates as a Dragon/Serpent. Jehovah brought about the Flood in an effort to remove these seeds of the Dragon lineage, established through Cain, from the earth. This effort would have been successful had Noah’s son, Ham, remained true to his family’s ‘Covenant’ with Jehovah.
Some may already be aware that the sigil of Anton LeVay’s church of satan is the upside down pentacle (a pentagram, five pointed star, within a circle) in which there is the goat of Mende’s head. At each tip of the pentagram there is are Hebrew letters which together make up the word Leviathan.
To see how this all ties together, note that she continues by stating:
The Rulers of the first Dynasty of Babylon were the Dragon Kings, who arose from the lineage of Ham. Ham’s grandson was Nimrod…[who] founded Babylon…All religious cults and Secret Societies can trace their roots back to this rebellion at Babylon. Nimrod’s son even went on to be crowned the second Pharaoh of the Egyptian Dynasty of Dragon Kings. His name was King Raneb. Because Ham was so instrumental in Satan’s Plan, the Dragon Kings honored him as their great Master-the famed ‘Goat of Mendes.’
Thus, one is able to connect make apparently disjointed dots via Dr. Joye’s insights.
Another very useful and amazingly succinct section of the book covers the Nag Hammadi text. This section goes a long ways towards demonstrating that the term “Christian Gnostics” is an illogical contradiction in terms. Essentially, take any Christian doctrine, reverse it and you have Gnosticism:
…hypnotic vibration allowed Satan, envisioned as a bright light, to enter their souls and possess their minds. Gnostics believe that once a person accepts the light, they have become illuminated. Those possessing this illumination declare that they have received a divine spark that has given them a god-like status, thereby making them equal to the Angels. Those who practice Gnosticism today follow teachings from texts that were found buried in Egypt. These texts, called the Nag Hammadi, are believed to have been written by their god. The Nag Hanunadi is a library of books that include a total of 51 texts called Codices… a closer look at the Gnostic Codices so we can distinguish their differences from Christianity’s biblical accounts. Codex One uses New Testament language. It records that secret books were written regarding the resurrection of Jesus and were given to the Apostles. These secret books explained to the Disciples the ‘Craft’ of Black Magic…They were apparently written in an effort to downplay the true resurrection of Jesus.
Codex Two rejects what is in the Genesis account of the Bible. It really magnifies Satan as the good god of mankind. The texts composing his Codex explain that it was Jehovah who was the deceiver in the Garden of Eden…Therefore Satan, not Jehovah, is applauded as the ‘Bringer of Light and Truth’ to mankind.
And now you understand why Prometheus is the satan figure in Greek mythology as he is the Titan who stole fire from the gods and gave it unto humanity—this is symbolic of bringing enlightenment against the god’s wishes.
Moreover:
The Texts also taught that mankind was capable of re-incarnation so that he could, eventually, obtain Godhood through successive visits to earth.
In the Gospel of Phillip contained within this Codex, Mary Magdalene is referred to as the most loved Disciple of Jesus. She is recorded as being Jesus’ favorite companion, whom He often kissed…Jesus loved her more than anyone else.
From this you realize whence came so many modern day attempts to discredit the Bible and accredit the claim of a bloodline from Jesus. So, you see how many things make sense with Dr. Joye’s bits of info.
Overall this is a most informative, thought provoking and engaging book and well worth reading…and re-reading. This is even despite its problems such as her missing it very badly on the issue of Melchizedek and performing mathematical gymnastics so as to make Prince William’s name and titled add up to 666.
