Bill Nye the population level and climate change guy

On his auto-soteriological show Bill Nye Saves the World Bill Nye “the Pseudo-Science Guy” asked, “Should we have policies that penalize people for having extra kids in the developed world?” Johns Hopkins University bioethicist, Travis Rieder replied, “I do think that we should at least consider it” and “One of the things that we could do that’s kind of least policy-ish is we could encourage our culture and our norms to change, right?” So you can see that a bioethicist considers his job to be an activist socio-politically change agent—but he can do that which he wished so long as he placed the term “ethics” before it thus, this pertained to the “ethics of procreation.” About this, Nye stated, “Well, ‘at least consider it’ is like ‘Do it.’”

Note that this was not even about overpopulated third world countries but “in the developed world.” Interestingly, Muslim are reproducing like rabbits and secularists are hard pressed to squeeze out one single child.

Bill Nye is like a Kardashian: he is famous for being famous. Or, rather, he is famous because people have fond childhood memories of him and so childishly accept whatever socio-political-pseudo-science-de-jour he is pushing. And the fact that our culture considers him some sort of intellectual is a very, very sad commentary on our culture’s low, low intellectual standards. Thus, he is now Bill Nye the “Go To For Commentary On Anything And Everything Guy” and this only goes to show that he most often speaks on topics about which he is either ignorant, an extremist or an ignorant extremist.

Thus, he considers that incarceration may be a good idea for climate change deniers, he pushed transgenderism/transsexuality and the likes (keep in mind that first scientists agreed that the Earth was going to freeze, then it was global warming, but since that would actually require specific evidence, now it is anthropogenic generic climate change).

Bill Nye stated, “as much as I love the CNN, you’re doing a disservice by having one climate change skeptic and not 97 or 98 scientists or engineers concerned about climate change.” Well, it is interesting that CNN has had various scientists (and note how he adds “or engineers” so as to make himself viable for such discussions) who are concerned about climate change (read: dogmatically promulgate it). Conversely, CBS had Nye to state whatever he wanted, including anti-Biblical statements, and how many creationists have they had on, and I mean in their entire broadcasting history? I would say that absolute zero would be a good guess (see video here). In short, it bothers Nye that one, just one, single scientists is allowed to—the horror, the HORROR—offer a voice of descent.

Recently, Greg Gutfeld got on the case of CNN since “you can’t even have one scientist on to question a comedian who got his degree in mechanical engineering” and on Nye’s case since he “is breaking the golden rule of science, he is mocking skepticism, which is the spine behind the scientific method. An actual scientist embraces debate, because it sharpens their research. You can question climate predictions, because they are often horribly wrong. But Bill paints every critic as ‘Anti-Science,’ even those who tread carefully through the data.”

On the Bill Maher show Bill Nye stated, “the cure for anti-Semitism is for Jews to get to know their neighbors.” This is a page out of the Sam Harris manual on how to discredit oneself. Harris actually blamed the holocaust on the Jews and he blames Islam for Muslim women being raped by non-Muslims.1
Gutfeld noted “The science is settled: Jews are the leading target of abuse and attack here and in Europe. And new research finds that 27 percent of British Muslims sympathized with Paris gunmen. Nye’s pithy denial minimizes such evil.” Thus, contextually, Nye is comporting himself in such a cowardly manner that he did not sated, “the cure for anti-Semitism is for Muslims (and neo-Nazis, et al.) to get to know their neighbors.”

Overall, Nye is running wild, stating whatever wacky things he wants on various and sundry topics and if our culture was a thoughtful one and not an emotive one then he would merely be an example of someone who clearly knows not of what he speaks.
