Santos Bonacci is a perfect example of so very many New Agers—by any other name—who are very open minded, affirming of various beliefs, tolerant and celebrating of diversity.
That is until they come to comment on Christianity which is the one and only faith that they seek to discredit.
The same can be seen in the New Atheist movement which is, in reality, an anti-Christian support group.
These facts alone, that the New Age and the New Atheists are against Christianity, are enough to affirm to the Christian that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
Santos Bonacci’s website describes him as follows:
For over 30 years, Santos Bonacci has been researching the ancient works, compiling and translating them into more accessible terms in his study of AstroTheology.
What this means is that he builds his own religion by gleaning from ancient works, throwing out what he does not like and reinterpreting that which he can twist towards his own ends.
The site continues:
Astrotheology – The Holy Science
This knowledge is the basis and origin for all of our Myths, Legends, Fairy Tales, Nursery Rhymes and Folk Lore. It is also the Pure Science developed by the very enlightened, wise and ancient priesthood that give us the Holy Books of all religions. his [sic] language was heavily veiled in allegory and symbolism and much of it was deliberately done to keep the higher truths from the masses.
“Veiled in allegory and symbolism” is a virtual quote from the Freemasons, “Veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols.”
Freemasonry scholar Manly P. Hall gave a series of lectures by the very title “Astrotheology.” In fact, Bonacci does recommend a book by Hall.
The claim is that “Astrotheology – The Holy Science…is the basis and origin for…the Holy Books of all religions.”
Yet, of course, at the front and center of Santos Bonacci’s website one and only one holy book is in focus as he claims to reveal “The Real Origin of the Bible” which claims:
The Bible was intended to be read as celestial (Stellar, Solar, Lunar and Planetary) allegories and poems based on archetypal, universal symbols of deep esoteric truths. Then and only then can it be explained without the need for Interpretation.
The Bible is not a book written by God, but a book written about/of God. In this site, Santos restores much of the original interpretation of the Bible by revealing it’s [sic] original glory and reviving it’s practical usefulness to mankind. He claims that “Then and only then can it be explained without the need for Interpretation.” And yet, he claims to possess the only true interpretation—which is merely a reinterpretation.
In fact, just a line or two below claiming that “it be explained without the need for Interpretation” the site stated, “Santos restores much of the original interpretation.”
He claims, “The Bible is not a book written by God, but a book written about/of God.”
The site also states:
Discover unanswered questions about this solar science and how the Macrocosm (the Heavens) affect it’s counterpart on Earth, the Microcosm.
Santos explains astrotheology (an explanation of the Holy Works) with the fractals of a simple Sine-Wave that affects the galaxies, Earth’s seasons, human bodies and personalities– and all of creation!
The language of macrocosm and microcosm is deeply occult and employed in the magickal crafts, “As above, so below.”
Note that he, Santos Bonacci, possesses the power to affect all of creation—exclamation point.
But what of the ascension?
In an interview with Veritas Radio that was titled, “The Alchemy of ‘Stairway to Heaven’” he stated:
…what the Christ consciousness is all about. All the gurus, all the avatars, and the rishis and the christs and the Buddhas [indiscernible term] great ascended masters; because ascension happens in the body. You’ve been given a vessel to ascend in.
Most church types, they’re waiting to ascend when Christ returns and raptures them. That, I’m afraid, is never gonna happen [laughter] that’s vicarious salvation and that stuff does not happen, not even in your fantasies.
But that’s what deluded types are waiting for.
That certainly speaks for itself.
