The book The Secret became a huge success after acquiring Oprah Winfrey’s imprimatur.
I was interested in three statements made both in the book itself and in the accompanying DVD. I wondered if lofty words as those pronounced by proponents of The Secret seemed widely applicable.
Let us consider the statements:
Rhonda Byrne (from the book, p. 164):
“You are God in a physical body. You are Spirit in the flesh. You are Eternal Life expressing itself as You. You are a cosmic being. You are all power. You are all wisdom. You are all intelligence. You are perfection. You are magnificent. You are the creator, and you are creating the creation of You on this planet.”
Lisa Nichols (from the DVD)
“You’re source energy. You are God manifested in human form, made to perfection.”

And this is one of the hardest concepts to get, but once you’ve accepted it, it’s life transforming. This is part of the overall giant Secret here.”

When it is Oprahtized in a first world country it is oh, so spiritual.
But when applied to the real world it does not seem quite the same, does it?
