Are all university areas the same—zeal without knowledge!?!?
This guy was wearing a Stalin t-shirt. I said, “Stalin! Really!”
He said, “Yeah [smile], he was a monster but he didn’t do anything to affect me or my family.”
Well then, in accordance to this pseudo-reasoning, if he and his family was not effected by Nazism then he would proudly wear an Adolf Hitler t-shirt or, a Mao Zedong t-shirt, or…etc.
So, I reminded him of the quoted from Martin Niemöller about the Holocaust:
First they came for the communists, and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a communist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a Jew. Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.
