This series is a consideration of the book Discerning Alien Disinformation written by Montalk. We will consider alien types and whether there are positive and negative ones. Montalk is not a Christian and is very insightful. There are areas of agreement as well as disagreement.
Let us begin by noting that he writes:
“For the past fifteen years I have studied a broad range of [sources] relevant to the alien presence. These were interpreted against the backdrop of my personal experiences, intuition, critical thinking, and the anecdotes of trusted others.”
Likewise, I will also interpret his work against the backdrop of my personal experiences, intuition, critical thinking, and the anecdotes of trusted others.
In his book’s part I he asserts:
“In less than a decade, mankind will be confronted with undeniable public disclosure of the alien presence…This estimate is based on several factors including…the speed at which climate, economic and political instabilities are heading toward conditions ripe for alien intervention.”
We will see that indeed, climatic, economic and political considerations are a key factor yet, not in the manner that some may think or, rather, not for the reasons some may think.
He also states:
“This book is about acquiring discernment in handling future relations with alien forces by seeing and learning from their current methods of deception…
Distinguishing between peaceful and aggressive aliens is easy. A more difficult question is how to discern between positive aliens and negative ones pretending to be positive. This question is important because research suggests not all alien factions are sincere or have our best interests at heart. If hostile forces cunningly imitate benevolent ones, then anyone refusing to acknowledge this possibility invites deception.”
Thus, he believes in aliens and that there are positive and negative ones. My take is that there are aliens but they did not develop much like us but on other planets but are demons or military (or a combo of both) activity pretending to be extra-terrestrials.
As for whether there are any positive “aliens”; Montalk emphasizes:
“It is my firm conviction that genuinely positive aliens do exist and are active in our world, but that their true nature does not conform to popular expectation.”
My view is that there are no benevolent ones and, just as Montalk notes, “the road to hell is paved with good intentions.”
There is UFOlogy and then there is UFOlatry. Ufology is the study of UFO phenomena which generally includes study of aliens (alienology). UFOlatry is the view of aliens in messianic terms.
Some UFOlogist, and surely all UFOlatrists, dismiss Christian’s view (generally speaking) of alien phemomena by simply stating words to the effect of “Christians just think that all aliens are demons.”
However, this shrug off approach does not interact with the detailed arguments and otherwise evidence from which Christians who hold that view come to that conclusion.
On this point Montalk, rightly, notes:
“Just because cultural ignorance, bigotry, and fear can lead to saying that aliens are negative, that does not mean saying aliens are negative is necessarily a symptom of these. It could instead be a conclusion reached through uncommon awareness, critical thinking, personal experience, and in-depth research.”
Although, he adds (keep in mind that Montalk is not a Christian but the following statement should remind us of 1st Peter 3:15 which states, “sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence”):
“Of course, saying aliens are all negative with a nasty tone and resorting to stereotyping and chest beating, there is no excuse for that.”
Consider if there really are aliens who are extra-terrestrials who developed on other planets; the alien class visiting us would represents one alien worldview only. This view may not be shared by other aliens on other planets and may not even be held by all from a single planet. If we visited other inhabited planets our intelligentsia would preach a worldview based on Darwinism or Freemasonry or whatever the intelligentsia’s worldview de jour may be at the time.
Montalk notes that we are “involve[d] intelligent beings who can choose how much of themselves to reveal” and this is the case on various levels. For example, they may claim to represent their whole race, the ultimate truth, etc. but may be merely promulgating the preferred view of a few elitists or that which they think our “itching ears want to hear” (2nd Timothy 4:3). He adds that we are dealing with “interdimensional dynamics that require dependence on the observer.”
Of immediate relevancy appears to be his statement about how the positive aliens “are unlikely to be the first ones” to reveal themselves openly but will, more likely, “transition people into the post-Disclosure world”:
“Better that they allow the impostors [negative aliens] to show up first and expend their own resources to transition us. Then, after human opposition mounts but before negative forces have taken full control, they can step in and impart critical information to turn the tide.
It is after tasting the bitter fruit of deception and learning some important lessons that humanity will appreciate and understand what they offer. Only then will deep and prolonged contact with positive forces be possible.”
This is very well elucidated and quite commonsensical although it is premised upon the assumption that he, and by extension we, can actually distinguish between positive and negative aliens.
Consider the following scenario as we assume that there are no positive aliens (sorry, to those nice alien folks living on other planets of whom we do not know).
Aliens make a full disclosure. The first group are the bad cop against whom human mount opposition but can do nothing much due to their superior technology, psychic abilities, etc. Then the second group comes in as the good cop and take over. In other words, this is the same alien faction but pretending to be fighting one against the other only to have us embrace them under the good cop guise.
This would be typical Hegelian Dialectic: thesis, antithesis, synthesis (or, problem, reaction, solution). They want to take over so they pretend that the bad cop force is attacking, we rebel and then the good cop comes to the rescue whom we embrace. Thus, they get what they wanted in the first place. They employ ordo ab chao/order out of chaos as they let us taste the bitter fruit of deception and lead humanity to appreciate and understand what they offer.
Yet, moreover, this is also a good scenario for a false second coming of Jesus interpreted as really referring to positive aliens. There is a rapture in the form of being beamed off planet (or, otherwise being made to, somehow, disappear) the negative aliens attempt to take control and play the part of the false prophet and the beasts (the anti-Christ) and then, finally, the supposed positive aliens come to the rescue and are greeted as saviors who may even get us to accept implants and DNA manipulation to keep us safe from the negative ones.
