The 2014 AD movie “The Imitation Game,” directed by Morten Tyldum and starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Alan Turing and Keira Knightley as Joan Clarke, is partly based on the mathematics of breaking cryptic cyphers used by the Nazi Germans during WWII via their “Enigma” coding device.
A team led by computer scientist, mathematician, logician, cryptanalyst, philosopher and mathematical biologist, Alan Turing breaks the code.
The movie also shows how governments establish propaganda.
Partly it is one amongst very many pieces of indoctrinating propaganda in the supposed virtues of homosexuality.
In fact, the movie ends with an emphasis upon his conviction for the, then, crime of homosexuality, his court ordered hormone treatment and, tragically, his suicide at the age of 41.
The movie also includes quite a few specifically anti-God statements made by the Turing character himself.
