This is a follow up on Was a feathered dinosaur tail & soft tissue found in amber? wherein I noted that I wrote to both authors of the science paper “A Feathered Dinosaur Tail with Primitive Plumage Trapped in Mid-Cretaceous Amber” to ask about their statement “If DIP-V-15103 indeed represents a juvenile coelurosaur tail…”
Ryan McKellar confirmed to me that the “If” regards the status as “juvenile” I wrote this back to him “Thank you so much. That really helps because it seemed that the paper does not do much detailed arguing (or, evidencing) for as to why it is thought to be a coelurosaur.”
He never replied, and I know not why but perhaps he does not want to have to answer about how/why they assert that it is a coelurosaur.
Some reached me via my website’s contact page, claimed to be a long time amber collector from Myanmar and disagreed with the paper claiming that a feathered dinosaur tail was found in amber.
He stated, “look very carefully and zoom in on the high res pictures, personally I believe it is a feathered nematode worm which were common at that time and possibly a more genuine reason for extinctions than comments, scientists do not like nematodes as they are not newsworthy and if dino tail were real I would say I have many but actually all are part of a worm invasion from the streams in the valleys, I post my inclusions on Facebook if you are there. I attach some pics for fun and one I make a red square for you to examine inside as one example and inside you can see very clearly it is not a tail but a nematode.”

BTW: note that, apparently, ants have not evolved in miiiiiiiiiiillions of years
Well, I cannot verify that this person is what they claim to be and I got no reply when I asked for his Facebook URL.
However, if he is right then he is right and his claim can be compared to the Ryan McKellar, et al.’s claim as is.
So, what thinkest thou?
