VIDEO: The Shack book & movie – trailer & interview

It is a tragedy that supposedly Bible believers are accepting of The Shack. The fact is that it was written as a direct result of Young rejecting Biblical theology and thus, traditional Christianity. Christians embraced it and will again when the movie comes out when the books is specifically meant as a slap in their face. Some have noted its universalist tone and the issue is that when the publishers reviewed the draft they told him that he would need to remove the universalism form the book so as to make it appealing to Christians. So you can just imagine just how blatantly universalist it was before it was edited. Pastors needs to revisit The Shack within the context of biblical theology rather than making an un-biblical fantasy even more appealing to Christians.

As it is, Christians are generally very watered down in the theology and sadly, many of their pastors are the ones pouring even more water on them.
