The actual question is not exactly What is the current most persecuted religion in the world?, which I stated as such due to common parlance, but it is Who are the current most persecuted people or religious group in the world? since religions are concepts to which people hold and the people are persecuted.
Also, note that persecution comes in very many forms from having monuments/sculptures/statues destroyed, to being subjectively told that you are not very nice, to being kept from voicing an opinion to being murdered/martyred.
