Under consideration is the Beginning and End site’s article Bloodlines of the Nephilim – A Biblical Study, August 26, 2012 AD (find all my segments on this here). The main point is to prove that, and how, Nephilim genetics survived post-flood even though the Nephilim drowned.
The article takes the Angel view of the Genesis 6 affair according to which the Nephilim are “the product of illicit relations between evil fallen angels and human women” yet, we run into two issues straight away and that is that they are “half-angelic, half-human hybrid giants” and that this “The flood wiped out the giants but shortly after the flood they returned.”
GIANTS
Many people, including Bible translators, employ the term “giant(s)” (a term used to translate various Hebrew words) without defining it. In short, is merely and solely means taller than the average and the average Hebrew, male, of those days was 5.5 ft. tall. This is a general statement, the article does go on to refer to them as “super-sized people” but then again, what is “super-sized” one foot taller, 10 feet taller, 100 feet taller? In a moment we will get to the “By the measurements in Scripture, the original Nephilim offspring were quite larger than the average human” statement within the article.
The other issue is that yet, “The flood wiped out the giants” and yet, we are told that “shortly after the flood they returned” which would mean another fall on Angels, another marrying with woman, another generation of offspring, etc. (unless one claims that someone on the Ark had Nephilim DNA however deluded it may have been).
ANGELS
We are told that “the Hebrew words for the ‘sons of God’ is B’nai Ha Elohim, which would means these are Heavenly beings.” Well, it is not that simple but one can certainly comfortable argue to that conclusion and the article does end up referring to Job chaps 1, 2 and 38.
The article quotes Job 4 to the effect that Eliphas refers to a sleep paralysis-like experience and wherein he refers to God as he who “his angels he charged with folly” (see Sleep Paralysis in the Bible). We are told that “The word ‘folly’ in the Old Testament is used to describe sexual sin.”
Even though Genesis 6 is about Angels committed folly in mating with human woman the fact is that the term “folly” in that Job text is toholah (Strong’s H8417) and appears nowhere else in the whole Bible and it merely refers to error. The article follows up by quoting texts which refers to “folly” (such as Genesis 34, Deuteronomy 22 and 2 Samuel 13) yet, this term is nebalah (Strong’s H5039) which can be used “of immorality, profane actions” and also senselessness, folly, disgraceful folly, disgrace, contumely disgrace.

A not very helpful image used within the article with the even less helpful, due to inaccuracy, appended statement, “By the measurements in Scripture, the original Nephilim offspring were quite larger than the average human”
—see Grading the giant human skeleton chart
The article states that the Septuagint/LXX has the verse as “he perceives perverseness in his angels” and yet, perverseness does not necessarily nor solely refer to sexual perversion but to corruption and in this case, error.
The article does on to reference Jude who is very clear that “the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation” since “Even as Sodom and Gomorrha” they were “giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh” (Peter makes very similar statements, see Nephilim in 2 Peter and Jude).
We now come to the consideration of the, note the qualifying term, “original Nephilim” being “quite larger than the average human” (contextually, 5.5 ft. with female humans being a bit shorter).
Genesis 6 notes that the Nephilim “became mighty men which were of old, men of renown” referring to being well known, having made a name for themselves as the term “renown” is literally “name.” This makes is simple to assert, likely rightly, that many myths and legends came from tales about the Nephilim. After the Tower of Babel event when humanity dispersed into groups/clans/tribes/nationalities they would have taken such tales around the world where, with the passage of time, they would have changed in this or that point and yet, maintain the core.
The article refers to “legends of ‘demigods’, titans or legendary heroes who were part god, that this is who those ‘myths’ were referring to.
We are told that “the Nephilim were…corrupting the human bloodline” which is a reasonable conclusion since Genesis 6 introduces the issue of the Nephilim and follows directly with God seeing “that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually” which leads to the flood.
The bigger picture is said to be to corrupt human DNA for the specific purpose of resulting in Jesus’ inability to come through and as a human. Thus, the protoevangelium in Genesis 3 which predicts that the woman’s seed will bruise/crush Satan/the serpent’s head.
