Discussing “Didn’t God kill more people in the Bible?”

The Quora site question Didn’t God kill more people in the Bible?, as generic as it is (“more” than who or what?) led to the following discussion when a certain Fight Stage (who’s bio reads, “GOD is my sovereign. His word is my king) replied:

Atheists here are being pretentious and narcissistic as usual it seems. The irony is the more they type the more obvious it is they didn’t read the bible or anything at all. They scroll tiktok and YouTube then share nonsense they hear about from famous atheist influencers that get absolutely cooked as soon as they go against literally any Christian in a debate.

The funniest part is that every time you talk to these people they always come out confessing the sin that they are slaves to. Usually its gay stuff or crossdressing. 10/10 they are into some weird [****] 🤣.

So, I’m not explaining too much because it’s common sense.

Humans clearly are murderous psychopaths throughout the entire scriptures and we constantly need to be stopped.

We are like this because the first sin as demonstrated here by atheists is pride, the ultimate brain fart. Pride starts violence, sexual lusts, theft, literally every sin is linked to it. It makes people do dumb [****] like cheer when a father is murdered in front of his children and families over having a different opinion.

Anyway, between humans burning babies for rituals and committing mass atrocities, God had to judge to prevent us from wiping ourselves out.

The funniest part that the atheists here fail to mention is half the people God kills are Nephilim.

Imagine being in a world where half angelic giants rule over you, torture you, teach your people how to master evil, police you, enslave you, make you fight against your fellow man, and then eat you.

These atheists bitch about 1st world problems; they’d [****] themselves living in the days of Noah. “Gender rights! Rape culture! Trump is a tyrant! Male privilege! Waaaa!”

They cry about nonsense. Imagine them getting their clothes tore off in the streets of Sodom as a gang of 50 guys try and penetrate them against their will all night. Imagine them standing up to a 20ft tall man-eating humanoid monster talking about, “Women’s rights” and “gender equality.” That giant would say, “Start the fire! Prepare the seasoning for this one.”

They skip over the part of the bible that said man’s hearts was full of evil constantly. Imagine no cops, roaming the wilderness daily and a bunch of feral men sitting around campfires with human bones in their hands as they gazed upon you.

People literally cried for judgment in those days according to Jewish traditional writings of that time. Heck even the book of revelation said times are gonna get that bad again where people are literally going to actively seek death but never find it.

Satan influenced mankind because of our own choices. GOD is THE righteous judge. Atheists dont understand that because they ignore that title. They dont want GOD to be GOD. HE is the source of life. Life has the right to decide who has life or not. Life’s body, Life’s choice.

Justice looks evil to those who do evil. Cops are evil to gang members. Rescue teams are evil to terrorists. The FBI is evil to pedophiles and human traffickers. God is evil to Satan.

When a judge or cop takes down a man for good, people always say the judge was too harsh or the cops used excessive force but never look at the crime the individual does. Atheists in a nutshell.

Peace!

Please mind your manners.

“half the people God kills are Nephilim” is about pre-flood days exclusively.

What “20ft tall man-eating humanoid monster”?

Fight Stage

Rephaim, Anakim, Og, Goliath, all appear after the flood. Try harder.

Ken Ammi

I specifically referred to the assertion, “half the people God kills are Nephilim” and noted, “is about pre-flood days exclusively” and then asked, “What ‘20ft tall man-eating humanoid monster’?”

So: Nephilim and that talk, that’s out context.

You replied, “Rephaim, Anakim, Og, Goliath” which is really a list of one since Rephaim was the tribe, Anakim were like a clan of that tribe and Og and Goliath were member of those.

So, since they were all Rephaim that has nothing to do with, “Nephilim.”

You committed a category error that violates the law of identity.

There’s literally zero indication that, “Rephaim, Anakim, Og, Goliath” were, “20ft tall” so that’s another fail, it’s a non-issue. The mere assertion isn’t backed by your follow up assertion.

There’s also literally zero indication, “Rephaim, Anakim, Og, Goliath” were, “man-eating,” nor, “humanoid” since they were human, and well, I suppose that, “monster” is generic enough to be applicable to anyone we don’t like.

Fight Stage

Not letting you change rooms or control the conversation. You seek to defend entities that caused misery, evil, and engaged in activity that is viceral? If so, that is the equivalent of a cow standing up for McDonalds. So long as you stand there, I cannot take much of what you say seriously due to the lack of common sense.

Ken Ammi

It’s okay to just say that you’re incapable of discussing the issue you, yourself, brought up. After that, best practices are to either not post about that issue again on the WORLD WIDE web on an open forum or accept correction.

Fight Stage

I think it’s even better to stay on topic and at the table I set, not bring another table for me to sit at. You got a problem with my table, show me. You want to sit elsehere? By all means.

Ken Ammi

Show you, ok: let’s start with:

“half the people God kills are Nephilim” is about pre-flood days exclusively.

What “20ft tall man-eating humanoid monster”?

Fight Stage

I made that statement before mentioning the days of Noah. My statement was for the arguments atheists make in general against God killing people in the bible, without considering who is being killed or why. This means my statment was about more than just the flood.

“Half” here is a loose term, not literal. Translation: “People don’t realize a large amount of the people God judged in the bible are not human.”

To answer your question, let’s take a look at Genesis 6:4 and see their species being that a mix of sons of God (angels/heavenly hosts) and daughters of man making them humanoid.

“There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.”

Giants appear again in the book of numbers. This is to display them as the same beings. 13:32–33

32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.

33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

Deuteronomy (3:11) shows that the giant Og (same species) has a bed of 9 cubits to which it is estimated that 1ft = circa 1.5 cubits making giants an estimated 15–20ft tall. This passage also acts as evidence of giants ruling over man and making us engage each other in battle, mirroring the giants in the days of Noah that had a hand in the widespread violence mentioned in Genesis 6:4–13.

As for humanoid “monster” is concerned, you can thank 2nd Samuel 21:20

20 And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.

It describes how altered their appearance is manking them similar to humans but not quite. Genesis pries on violence filling the world as well as evil hearts. It’s not hard to believe that the man-eating elements mentioned in 1 Enoch Chapter 7. The book of Enoch is heavily debated among some christians and the contents of the book is in likely mentioned in Jude 1:14–15 in reference to 1 Enoch 1:9.

That said, scripture not containing the book of Enoch (because some bibles do like the Etheopian bible) doesn’t say directly that they ate people but heavily implies the possibility was as so (numbers/genesis). In bibles that contain Enoch, yes, I cited it for you.

There you go.

20ft ma-eatig humanoid “monsters” (I don’t think I said monsters.)

Ken Ammi

If you seek to counter argue contra “arguments atheists make in general against God killing people” then misrepresenting the Bible will only make things worse.

The problem is that you claim post-flood Nephilim but there’s literally zero reliable indication of that and only one single unreliable sentence from one single unreliable evil report spoken by 10 unreliable guys whom God rebuked in its favor.

God told us may times why He did such things and commanded such things to be done but never said a single word about Nephilim: have you read any of those?

And yes, let’s set aside the vague, generic, subjective, multi-usage and modern English word “giants” since this is about “Nephilim.”

When you assert that the “appear again in the book of numbers. This is to display them as the same beings. 13:32–33” you just quote it and apply it without interacting with it nor dealing with the problems it causes.

It’s not appropriate to just read two verses, pick them up, run with them, and apply them. Rather, key hermeneutical questions a

re: who said it, why was it said, what was the reaction to it, was it accurate, etc.

Anyone appealing to Num 13:33 needs to mention that they’re relying on:

1.       One single unreliable sentence

2.       From strictly non-LXX versions (since that version’s version of that verse doesn’t even mention Anakim)

3.       Of an unreliable “evil report”

4.       By 10 unreliable guys

5.       Whom God rebuked—to death

6.       Who made five mere assertions unbacked by even one single other verse in the whole Bible

7.       Who contradicted Moses, Cable, Joshua, God, and the rest of the whole entire Bible

8.       Then post-flood Nephilologists have to invent un-biblical fantasy tall-tales about how Nephilim got past the flood, past God.

I could go on but see my post Chapter sample: On the Post Flood Nephilim Proposal—which I’m currently updating.

See why I noted we need to ignore “giants”? You then just started chasing that vague modern English word around a specific and ancient Hebrew Bible and thus referred to Rephaim rather than Nephilim. So, Og and Goliath’s son are irrelevant. You say or Og “giant Og (same species)” but, again, you first have to tell me how God failed, missed a loophole, and the flood was much of a waste

But you seem to have also appealed to them due to the size issue.

The dirty little secret is that since we’ve no reliable physical description of Nephilim then their height is a non-issue and that alone debunks 99% of un-biblical Nephilology—the modern branch of which is just un-biblical neo-theo sci-fi tall-tales.

What’s the usage of the vague, generic, subjective, multi-usage and modern English word “giants” in English Bibles? What’s your usage? Do those two usages agree?

You merely asserted “Deuteronomy (3:11) shows that the” whatever you mean by “giant” and then you’re forced to refer to his “bed” since we don’t have a physical description of him. And you claims to know that he was “15–20ft tall” based on various mere assumptions: the fact is that indications are that the “bed” was a ritual object, not something on which he slept (and have you ever looked up “California beds” used by people who are 6ft tall or less?).

Unsure why you dehumanize a human as “humanoid ‘monster’” just because they guy was “of great stature,” whatever the means, and suffered from a simple genetic mutation that reproduces the genetic data for building fingers and toes.

You then took one single statement about one single person and invented an un-biblical fantasy tall-tale about how “It describes how altered their appearance is manking them similar to humans but not quite.”

That 1 Enoch is in the Ethiopian canon doesn’t make that one canon uniquely correct but rather, uniquely incorrect since 1 Enoch is Bible contradicting folklore from millennia after the Torah (see my book, “In Consideration of the Book(s) of Enoch”) in fact, that cannon also contains a text titled, “The Life of Adam and Eve” which claims that when God created Adam, God commanded the Angels to worship Adam.

And if you’re ever confused about what you said, just read this thread, “(I don’t think I said monsters.)” but it’s right here: https://www.quora.com/Didnt-God-kill-more-people-in-the-Bible/answer/Fight-Stage

So, again, you misrepresent the Bible a lot and make up stuff so Atheists will see that and you’ve made it worse: first they’ll rebel against God and then see that some seeking to defend him misrepresent His word and make up stuff.

That brought the discussion to an end as no more replies were forthcoming.
