This bit of censorship (and secular tyranny gone utterly insane) is multi-faceted. 1. Christianity is under utter assault in the US. 2. Mainstream media is propaganda passed off as news. 3. People complain about the 1% of “conservative” news outlets and yet…
4. Stories such as this one are, as of today, only being reported by Christian and/or conservative news sources so what is a person who is actually interested in such news to do? Then your average person cannot even imagine that points 1 and 2 are true because they never hear about any such thing because they rely on 2 and round and round goes the cycle of ignorance and apathy.
A tax payer funded indoctrination center for re-education aka public school, California’s Desert Rose Elementary School, called the police on a very dangerous 7-year-old who violated one of the secular commandments.
Reports note that since the little boy (oh, can he even be called the restrictive term “boy” in school now-a-days?—can he be called “he”?) had shared notes with his (oh no “his”!) fellow children containing Bible verses, Bible stories, etc. during lunchtime. The notes had been given to him by his parents Christina and Jaime Zavala (What!? Two parents!? A “man” and a “woman”—outrage!!!) so as to comfort him as he was new in school.
The re-education agent aka principal had made it clear that such activities will not be tolerated.
However, the obviously dangerous criminal dared to exercise his freedom of speech and freedom of religious expression by continuing on as if the miseducation Gestapo had not warned him.
The Liberty Counsel informed the school of the obvious and obviously missed fact that their tyrannical (my term) actions were an “unconstitutional suppression and censorship of student religious speech” which is a “violation of a first grader’s constitutional rights.” They noted that “When one little girl said ‘teacher — this is the most beautiful story I’ve ever seen,’ ‘separation of church and state’ was the response, and the notes were banned from lunchtime distribution. [the little boy] was told that the school gate was the only location at which he could give the Bible verses to his friends, and only after the bell rang.” Reportedly, he gave the Bible related notes to children who asked for them.
Note that no, the answer is not that children are allowed to exercise civil right freedoms within a very narrow parameter. This would mean that children would be allowed to exercise free speech in only 1% of the school or 0% if the school’s gate are consider to be outside of school property. Reportedly, the boy then moved his civil right freedoms activities to the gates until the school decided that this too was to be condemned.
Initially, a representative of the secular state aka teacher called the parents in order to order them to “tell your son that there is a separation of church and state” which proves that the teacher needs some education on the subject.
It was not enough for a little child to undergo the trauma of being treated like a criminal, police conducted a follow-up visit to his home—probably to ensure that his parent’s Bibles were kept out of reach in a locked safe to which the child had no access.
The Liberty Counsel’s Vice President of Legal Affairs and Chief Litigation Counsel, Horatio Mihet noted, “I would expect something like this to happen in Communist Romania, where I went to elementary school, but cops don’t bully 7-year-olds who want to talk about Jesus in the Land of the Free.”
