50% of congress (and Barack Obama) are atheists…as per Richard Dawkins

When certain personages referred to, or even wondered out loud, Barack Obama as being as Muslim they were condemned as fear mongers, alarmists, prejudice, ignorant, malicious, etc.

But what condemnations shall proceed forth from Barack Obama being referred to as an Atheist?

Some may recall that in the movie Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed wherein the famous discussion took place between Dawkins and Ben Stein. That discussion had Dawkins grudgingly assert 97% certainty that God did not exist only to be asked how he knew, having him admit that he did not know. He was then asked if the percentage could be, say, 47% to which he said no, only to be asked how he know to which he again responded that he did not know and on it went.

Well, that is a window into Richard Dawkins’ propensity towards making unfounded, un-evidenced, un-scientific statements that are, in reality, based upon his Atheist worldview. After all, he is a virtual lifelong adherent of Darwinism and thus, he has made a career out of weaving Victorian Era tall tales which mask his lack of evidence.

Reporting for DNA-Daily News & Analysis in Education is the only antidote to religion: Richard Dawkins, Geetanjali Jhala notes that celebrity Atheist Richard Dawkins has taken wild, un-evidenced, worldview based guesses about US presidents:

I think Lincoln, Kennedy, Clinton, Obama may well be an atheist. Obama’s a very intelligent man. He probably is an atheist.

As a side note, it seems noteworthy to recall that Michael Beschloss stated that, “Barack Obama has the highest IQ of any President.” Beschloss is not some prepubescent blogger writing from his mommy’s basement, he is a Presidential Historian. Don Imus (of the “Imus in the Morning” radio show) followed up by asking, “What’s his IQ?” only to have Beschloss respond, “I don’t know.”

Dawkins further stated:

There are 535 members in the US congress. Presumably some of them are reasonably educated. It’s inconceivable that only one of them is an atheist. There’s got to be at least 50% of them.

“I think…may well…probably…Presumably…It’s inconceivable…There’s got to be” all amount to guessing based on what is known as an argument from incredulity. In other words, he cannot believe that it is not so therefore, it must be so.

Is it any wonder that agnostic evolutionary biologist Professor Richard Lewontin includes Dawkins in a list of those who:

…put unsubstantiated assertions or counterfactual claims at the very center of the stories they have retailed in the market.
