Dan Barker’s FFRF (Freedom From Religion Foundation) is a religious cult

Ironically, Dan Barker’s Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) is an organization that was established in the USA; a country premised upon the context of freedom of religious expression.

The FFRF is an Atheist watchgod groups which functions, as Atheism does as a whole, as an anti-Christian support group. They make a living by playing the victimized minority card and thus, seek donations to file lawsuits about everything from “In God We Trust” on our currency to Nativity scenes on government property. Oddly, they do not seem to sue the US government for the paining “The Apotheosis of Washington” within the US Capitol Building; apotheosis means that good ol’ Georgie became a god. They do not sue Nashville, Tennessee for having the “Athena Parnthenos” which features a 42 foot tall statue of the Greek false goddess Athena on the city government owned Centennial Park (and noted it on their city government owned official website).

But this is because the Dan Barker’s Freedom From Religion Foundation is not only anti-Christian but is a neo-Pagan religious cult.

1) They positively affirm the non-existence of gods without proof.
2) They promulgate the observance of Pagan holidays.

The FFRF represents celebrity New Atheists who positively affirm God’s non-existence.

Anne Nicol Gaylor is the principal founder of the Freedom From Religion Foundation which is now run by her daughter Annie Laurie Gaylor and her husband Dan Barker. Anne Nicol authored this statement:

“There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell. There is only our natural world.”

As per Annie Laurie, this is no mere slogan or motto but, in fact, a maxim of the FFRF. The FFRF has, for example, have placed these words in the form of a ten commandments-like stone figure, placed alongside of ten commandments statues.
The issue is that they positively affirm (meaning that they claim to actually know) that “There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell” and also that “There is only our natural world.” Yet, they have not proved any of these things.

These are “faith” based beliefs. As per the Encarta Dictionary a maxim is “a succinct or pithy saying that has some proven truth to it” and “a general rule, principle, or truth” (emphasis added).

Ergo, since a positive affirmation of the non-existence of gods is the maxim of the FFRF and the hold to the maxim by “faith”; the FFRF is a religious cult.

As Mayor Vincent J. “Buddy” Cianci, stated regarding the ACLU suing to have a nativity “scene removed from government property:

“They’re just jealous because they don’t have three wise men and a virgin in the whole organization.”

Well, likewise, the FFRF once posted a statement on the first-floor rotunda of the Wisconsin State Capitol which stated:

“At this season of the Winter Solstice, may reason prevail. There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell. There is only our natural world.

Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds.”

They subsequently stated:

“people have been celebrating the winter solstice long before Christmas. We see Christianity as the intruder, trying to steal the holiday from all of us humans.”
—Jon Nicholas, Reverence And The Nativity Scene

Thus, the promulgated the celebration of the solstice—and did so on government property; perhaps they should sue themselves.

Last year, 2013 AD, the purchased very expensive bill boards (with donated money which could have gone to people in need) that stated:

“Keep Saturn in Saturnalia”

Of course, these sorts of statements are meant to be anti-Christian. The latter to counter “Keep Christ in Christmas” and the former to counter Christmas in general. They suppose Christmas to have something to do with Saturnalia, which it does not; see the book Christmas is Pagan and Other Myths by J. P. Holding (which I reviewed here).

Ergo, whether they take it seriously or not, the fact is that they are actively promulgating the observance of the solstice and Saturnalia and are thus, neo-Pagans.

And, actually, Atheism as a whole neo-Pagan as they seek to redirect awe in the creator to awe in the creation under the guise of science; see Atheism Spirituality for evidence of this.

To reiterate:
Since the FFRF positively affirms the non-existence of gods without proof; they are a religious cult.

Since they actively promulgate the observance of the solstice and Saturnalia; they are neo-Pagans.

Satanic crime? Austin Harrouff murderous cannibalism

Help me, I ate something bad—Humans
—Austin Harrouff

Abruptly, 19-year-old Jupiter, FL resident Austin Harrouff stood up from a dinner with his parents and the next that was known of him was that he stabbed a husband and wife, John Stevens and Michelle Mishcon, to death and finished his dinner by consuming the husband’s face. He was actually found in that very act wearing nothing but underwear and whilst making animalistic sounds.
He also stabbed Jeff Fisher as he tried to stop the attack.

One interesting aspect of this case is that police have released their findings of the online searches he was conducting and specific webpages he was reading.

2527cannibal2bfrat2bboy25272baustin2bharrouff2b6-8219722

These include topics of mental health, “How the mind really works,” “I think I’m going crazy am I?,” “What ‘Am I really crazy?’ really means,” “Obsessive thoughts about examining life,” How to know if your going crazy” [sic.], “Why am I losing my emotions…?,” etc.

2527cannibal2bfrat2bboy25272baustin2bharrouff2b2-4603808

Some where conspiracy theory related, “Look who’s related: George Washington and the Presidents,” Is Barack Obama related to any past Presidents,” “The religion of the Illuminati,” etc.

Some were drug related, “Marijuana withdrawal” (FYI: toxicology results came back negative for bath salts and flakka, negative for hallucinogenics and positive for trace amount of THC/marijuana and alcohol), “Signs of steroids,” etc.

2527cannibal2bfrat2bboy25272baustin2bharrouff2b4-4934789

Some were occult, “Eye of Horus,” “What does it mean when people ‘sell their soul to the devil?,’” “How to sell your soul to the devil,” “Yin and Yang,” “Pineal gland” (see my shorts story based on this gland here), “Paganism,” “Lucifer,” “The Biblical truth about hell,” “Satan,” etc.

2527cannibal2bfrat2bboy25272baustin2bharrouff2b5-5761921

He also wrote a “Self Identity Investigation” in 2014 AD.

2527cannibal2bfrat2bboy25272baustin2bharrouff2b7-3553803

Austin Harrouff has stated that he thinks that his son is schizophrenic. His mother affirmed that the week prior to the murderous cannibalism he had been acting strangely, referred to himself as an “animal,” watched self-hypnosis videos and that on the night of the attack she found him eating a bowl filled with cooking oil and cheese.

His sister actually recorded him stating things such as “All this pain and sorrow because I solve all problems people have…I’ve become almost immortal, I have to die one day,” she was so freaked out that she used to lock her bedroom door at night.

He also wrote, “You say my big heart’s gonna kill me one day, my head roller coasting with these drugs in my brain. So why do it anyways? Why do it anyways?” and “Do you know what it feels like to be so afraid to speak? Becoming a bully ’cause all the bullies bullied me” also “[Expletive removed] man, I just wanted to be accepted. The anxiety I feel inside feels like I internally bleed.”

“On the Choice of a Human Sacrifice” – Anton LaVey’s Satanic Bible

Miranda Barbour claims to be a church of satan satanist and admitted to murdering at the very least 22 people. News reports containing interviews with satanists claiming that “no true satanist would…” do such a thing (and neither would “a true Scotsman”) are afoot. But do they have a leg to stand upon (perhaps the amputated human leg which Anton LaVey cannibalized)? We have written two articles on the murders and one on whether satanism, of the LaVey / church of satan variety would allow for any such thing:

Satanic crime – murder by numbers, the Barbours and the number 1 (and 11)

Satanic crime update – Miranda Barbour claims 22 victims

Miranda Barbour: is she a satanist and are her murders satanic crimes?

Herein, we continue by consider the following from a chapter taken from The Satanic Bible titled, “On the Choice of a Human Sacrifice”:
“The use of a human sacrifice in a Satanic ritual does not imply that the sacrifice is slaughtered ‘to appease the gods’. Symbolically, the victim is destroyed through the working of a hex or curse, which in turn leads to the physical, mental or emotional destruction of the ‘sacrifice’ in ways and means not attributable to the magician.”

Yet, as we read above, Anton LaVey’s own use of curses were not meant to “Symbolically” destroy but to actually, physically, destroy the victim.

The chapter continues:
“The only time a Satanist would perform a human sacrifice would be if it were to serve a two-fold purpose; that being to release the magician’s wrath in the throwing of a curse, and more important, to dispose of a totally obnoxious and deserving individual.”

In other words, the gates are wide open and satanists are welcome to murder in ritual human sacrifice at will. Think about how simple it would be to justify sacrificial murder by claiming that you needed to release wrath and how even simpler it would be to label someone as, deserving of death by the way, for being “totally obnoxious and deserving.” According to these standards, Miranda Barbour is totally, satanically, justified.

The chapter continues:
“Under NO circumstances would a Satanist sacrifice any animal or baby!…There are sound and logical reasons why the Satanists could not perform such sacrifices. Man, the animal, is the godhead to the Satanist. The purest form of carnal existence reposes in the bodies of animals and human children…the Satanist holds these beings in a sacred regard.”

After such elucidations, Anton LaVey goes directly to the issue raise above; justification:
“The question arises, ‘Who, then, would be considered a fit and proper human sacrifice, and how is one qualified to pass judgment on such a person?’ The answer is brutally simple. Anyone who has unjustly wronged you – one who has ‘gone out of his way’ to hurt you – to deliberately cause trouble and hardship for you or those dear to you. In short, a person asking to be cursed by their very actions.”

This merely compounds the subjective nature of that which personages such as Miranda Barbour take uponi themselves to do. Think about how simple it is to label someone as having “unjustly wronged you,” or “has ‘gone out of his way’ to hurt you” (even defining “hurt” is very subjective) or “deliberately cause trouble and hardship,” or someone you decide to perceive as “asking to be cursed.”

LaVey then drives the point home; destroying others is moral:
“When a person, by his reprehensible behavior, practically cries out to be destroyed, it is truly your moral obligation to indulge them their wish. The person who takes every opportunity to ‘pick on’ others is often mistakenly called ‘sadistic’. In reality, this person is a misdirected masochist who is working towards his own destruction. The reason a person viciously strikes out against you is because they are afraid of you or what you represent, or are resentful of your happiness. They are weak, insecure, and on extremely shaky ground when you throw your curse, and they make ideal human sacrifices.”

Here the lines get blurred a bit as the concept of a human sacrifice may be thought to be the good ol’ stabbing upon a satanic altar with all of the paraphernalia that comes with; a ritualistic sacrifice. Recall that Anton LaVey placed a destruction curse upon Sam Brody, LaVey’s girlfriend Jayne Mansfield’s attorney. This resulted in, both, Brody and Mansfield dying a brutal death in a car “accident.” So, a satanic human sacrifice does not, necessarily, require the accoutrements of having a human being before you as a victim but it can be done from afar.

Next, LaVey offers more details on the how to of “the Choice of a Human Sacrifice”:
“It is sometimes easy to overlook the actual wrongdoing of the victim of your curse…The ‘ideal sacrifice’ may…cause severe damage to your tranquility or sound reputation. ‘Mental illness’, ‘nervous breakdown’, ‘maladjustment’, ‘anxiety neuroses’, ‘broken homes’, ‘sibling rivalry’, etc., etc., ad infinitum have too long been convenient excuses for vicious and irresponsible actions. Anyone who says ‘we must try to understand’ those who make life miserable for those undeserving of misery is aiding and abetting a social cancer! The apologists for these rabid humans deserve any clobberings they get at the hands of their charges! Mad dogs are destroyed, and they need help far more than the human who conveniently made froths at the mouth when irrational behavior is in order!…these people…given the opportunity they would destroy you!

Therefore, you have every right to (symbolically) destroy them, and if your curse provokes their actual annihilation, rejoice that you have been instrumental in ridding the world of a pest! If your success or happiness disturbs a person – you owe him nothing! He is made to be trampled under foot!”

Note the interplay of symbol and actual as “you have every right to (symbolically) destroy them” and/but you can cause “their actual annihilation.”

The overall message is clear and has already been noted; Anton LaVey / church of satan satanists have virtually no guidelines to go by when making “the Choice of a Human Sacrifice” and thus, can take it upon themselves to decide, at will. What follows therefrom is claims that “no true satanist would…” and that they are self-styled satanists. Yet, they may only appear to be self-styled due to the freedom of choice which LaVey enjoined upon them.
